It is strange to say I liked this one just as much if not more than the first book, especially being that it is written by a different author. But focusing on the younger generation really is entertaining in this book. I know, it definitely is not the same style nor feeling of the original, but both have their place, if differently, and both I consider great reads.

I think that one of my grade school teachers ( third or fourth) began to read this aloud to us. I only remember the beginning, so she either never came back to it or she started so get us excited about it to read it on our own. I remember liking what she read and I liked the first one as well.

O'Brian's daughter wrote this enjoyable "sequel" featuring a short, showoffy rat named Racso who is rescued from drowning by Mrs. Frisby's son Tim and joins the group of NIMH rats. His father was a significant character from the first book and revelations about him come about.

Not as good as the first one. Even though I loved Justin the Rat, I prefered the open-ended ending of the first book to the concrete, "and this is what happened years later"-ness of this story.

This is a sequel to Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH and is written by Robert O'Brien's daughter. It's a decent sequel, but the first book is far more believable than this book.

Could not have been more thrilled as a child to discover "sequels" written to one of my favorite tales, and by the daughter of the original author, no less.

Not as good as the original Rats of NIMH book, but worth reading if you liked the first one. A continuation of the original story, but with the next generation.

The first book I read that was over 300 pages; and I read it several times. I like this one a lot better than Mrs. Frisby, although that story's great as well.

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH was far better. I found this one to be a little slow at times and just not as interesting as the first one.

I loved this book (and Mrs. Frisby) as a child, despite my hatred and fear of all things rodent.

Pretty good book. Read it a long time ago, so it's pretty fuzzy.
