This book really was enlightening in regards to the plight of animals used in scientific research. Even as a non-evolutionist, I was moved by the passion of Roger Fouts and co. and the personalities of the chimps. It was a compelling story of Fouts' life and his journey with Washoe's family.
Have read this book a billion times and love it completely.
