I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down! It was historical fiction and I haven't read Christian historical fiction in a very long time. Yes, it was completely predictable and yes, I could see the ending coming before even opening the book, but I expected that from a book like this! It's comforting. :)
The book involved a girl of 19 named Willow Madison. She had fought in the war on her homefront and was now moving to Thunder Ridge, Texas to live with her uncle and to ...more

I liked the interaction between the main characters, however there were a few things about this story that kinda bugged me enough that I only enjoyed about 3 stars worth. Hopefully these aren't spoilers but my problems include: Something about getting an organ all the way out to a remote town over bumps and hills just to have it completely shatter at the slightest drop? Everyone being ruined by the Civil War financially etc. but one man who was still wealthy as sin? Two friends paying a 3 days r...more
Predictable frontier-style Christain romance- loveless marriage to rich old guy or true passion with young, handsome, bullheaded guy.
Lori Copeland has quickly become one of my favorite authors!! Twice Loved is a wonderful story that just takes you away from the hectic world that we live in today! This book is the first in a series of 3 and I cannot wait to start book number 2! I don't want to say too much about the synopsis of this story, because I don't want to give anything away, but it is a great story with a great ending!
This was a light, enjoyable historical romance. Ok, so it was predictable, but still enjoyable nonetheless. You have Tucker and Willow, who both misjudge the other, fireworks ensue, and of course, you can guess what happens next. *wink* Anybody else notice that at one point it said "Willowed" instead of "Willow"? lol...oh well.

As I have said before, I will now say again, I love Avon Inspire, and imprint of HarperCollins. And I absolutely love the covers of their books, not one book has been a disappointment to me yet! The only problem I did have with this cover, (it's beautiful don't get me wrong) the character is described with strawberry blonde hair??? How do I envision her with strawberry blonde, when the cover is very clearly toward an ebony? hmmm... Oh well, discrepancy aside, this is a delightful story.

This is one of the books that when you read it you wish there was more to it. The plot line was pretty predictable but I would have enjoyed more details about the characters and events that lead up to the ending. I am excited to read the next book and to see where the story goes.
I loved the setting of this book...Thunder Ridge, where it always thunders but never rains! Then there was a fight set in the middle of a river that had me howling with laughter...it was great :-)
Really enjoyed this book, checked it out from the library. Read it in a couple days, quick read. Will read more by this author.
It's been a while since I read a Copeland book. Good Christian fiction, fast read.

Fabulous series!!
Historical fiction---woman in loveless marriage to wealthy man, wants love with other man.........
One thing that you always get from this author is light, easy to read books. I enjoyed the book from that perspective but I thought that the ending was a bit rushed. I realize that there will be a second and third book and we'll get to see the characters again with the focus being on a different main character. If you want an easy read with some good Christian morals I would recommend this book.
3.75 stars. Really cute. On to the next in the series.
Twice Loved is another wonderful historical fiction by Lori Copeland. This quick read was full of conflict and problems that kept the story interesting. I am looking forward to the next books in the series.

I love Lori Copeland but this is definitely not her best work. I didn't connect with any of the characters and to me, it was borderline boring. I usually love her work, but this was not her best effort.
I have enjoyed other books from Lori Copeland better than this new one. It still was cute but a little slow.
It was okay. It did not really hold my attention and it was not a book that I just couldn't put down.
