This book is a real holiday for the mind. Written back in the 70's when times were simpler (not that they really were - I think it was just us), the young author and her partner set off to escape 'the big, bad world' and find that as humans this is not ideal or even possible. Elizabeth Arthur was born in New York City, and has lived in Vermont, Wyoming, British Columbia and Indiana.
