Read this with this in mind: If you're an adult doggy fan, like my neighbor with the horrible pwecious (sic) pugs named "Puggsley" and "Priscilla" you will wuv (sic) this book. If you are an older kid who will get the jokes here, you will love this book.
On the other hand, if you're a cat person, you will probably HATE the ending of this book.
And if you're a toddler or preschooler, you just won't get it.

I remember reading the review and wasn't really looking forward to it thinking it might be a bad rip off of the Dear Mrs La Rue books. However, this is just as cute, and I love that there is a cat writing letters back as well. The illustrations are full of detail and lots of fun.

If I had a dog--or even liked dogs--this probably would have been a 4 or 5 star book. But because I only mildly tolerate dogs, I only found this book mildy amusing. Ironically, I wept like a baby--a dog loving baby--at the end of Marley and Me.

One of their best! The illustrations are great, and the entire format will draw even the most reluctant reader in. Told in various forms of written communication, classroom uses and possibilities are endless.

Mr. Mutt writes an advice column for dogs with problems. Chiming in is "The Queen," his cat companion. Well-writtn and illustrated. Not a good candidate for story-times due to the length of the text.

An excellent book from a dog's point of view who seeks the advice of a counselor. Love the letters and especially the hysterical
responses from the counselor.

Loved the illustrations and funny concept, but would have to be a savvy older child to understand the humor (not toddler/preschooler).

Dogs ask Mr Mutt for advice and then the Queen (a cat) corrects the advice.
