There's a chapter in here about Vincent Price, actor and gourmand, and his famous mammoth and expensive cookbook, and therein is a picture of him daintily sipping the sauce of his crepes suzette so as not to wet his moustache. There's something in that picture that captures the retro charm and knowingly humorous bent of this book.
