OK, bear with me here. In my never-ending search for good self-help books, I've run across Mantak Chia, who's a practitioner of Asian techniques for improving one's chi and mental perspicacity. He's written many, many books, but they all say the same thing. This one is representative. What he advocates is basically a form of meditation, where you sit and send your mental energy zipping through your heart, solar plexus, navel, lower back, and back up to your head and then your heart again.
