I recently completed a section of the Pinhoti Trail in Alabama and was blown away by the wildflowers. I could only identify a few of them but there were dozens. If you're doing spring hiking in the Southeast check this book out from your library to help id plants. It's really great and easy to navigate through. I need to own one of these!
