I expected this to have more political meat. It really is a romance story with a political background. It was a bit unrealistic in that this woman who had to have been intelligent and ambitious, accepted her husband's very bad behavior - even to the point of feeling sorry for him. It just seemed to me that a woman who had so much going for her, took that kind of relationship as being not so bad.

I'll be honest in saying I liked the author's writing style, but the storyline didn't grip me - it was all too obvious.... and it fleshes out the general consensus of what goes on in politics and behind closed doors...

Would recommend as light holiday read. Not too challenging, easy to read, mild suspense...enough to make it readable in two days.

Pretty basic read, presumably based on all the stories Michael brought home from his day job? The story was predictable and not really that interesting.

A love story intertwined with an interesting, readable view of politics UK style. I will look for her next book.
