Not the best writing, but since I've always had a interest in the works of the CCC I found it to be a great historical read. It really explains the life and experiences of the young men who joined. It has many pages of actual menus, letters, ads, etc to bring history to life for the reader. I'm sure this was a work of love for the author to honor her dad and she succeeded in doing that. He sounds like a wonderful man Mary!
