I found this book to be immensely helpful in starting my garden from seed this year. I only disagree with one piece of advice out of the book and that really boils down more to personal preference then technique. (She likes to start seeds in flats and I don't.) I learned a ton and have a beautiful garden this summer to boot. This will definitely stay on my book shelf as an excellent reference guide for troubleshooting and inspiration.

Extremely thorough and helpful, covers seed collection and storage (which is the area I had most to learn). Explains all about how/when/where to germinate and plant your seeds, how to maintain them. Good detail by variety of plant. I've actively used this book for several years/gardening seasons.

I wish this one had more drawings, I'm not going to lie, but this is the one I'll end up buying- it is more thorough than the encyclopedic "Seed to Seed" and it has more process, etc.

Lots of information...I was surprised by all of the different options. After reading, I've decided to wait to start my tomato seeds until I have a green house, which is hopefully next year.
