Natalie Sommers is an armed bodyguard. She has completed two tours in Afghanistan with the Australian Army and carries five different weapon licenses. To say she is a tough, no-nonsense woman, is an understatement. But underneath the tough exterior that she shows, lies the truth that she won’t admit - that she is lonely.

So when she is hired to escort the rich and gorgeous

Hi, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is: totally take by surprise!

This is the first in Kim Faluks' Fire and Ice Series and I really liked every aspect of this story.

Natalie is a woman who is really just trying to get by with what she's got, like all of us really. Only what she's got is a talent for kicking ass and taking names. This talent leads her into a world that opens hidden feelings and memories that she never knew existed from past lives she never knew she had lived.

Her paths cross

Reclaimed hits the ground running, starting with strong emotions and building the character of Natalie very quickly. Having read as many books as I have, with the majority set in alternate worlds or America, it is a fresh change to read one that is based in Australia, country of origin for Miss Faulks and myself.
Even if I didn’t already know it was a paranormal, there are hints and slight suggestions to the mystical, which drew me in more than if it had been obvious. Sometimes the hint is more

Not to diminish the accomplishments of the author, writing and getting a book published is praiseworthy and I completely respect her for her efforts. BUT... for me, this was not good. Kind of awful really. DNF/CNF.

I was looking for something with a bit of spice to read and I found "Reclaimed" by Kim Faulks. This is the first book in the series and fit the bill perfectly. It was exactly what I was looking for. This book has enough heat to melt the polar ice caps!

The story follows Natalie an armed bodyguard for hire, who just taken a new job that is about to turn her world upside down as the supernatural crashes into her reality. Natalie finds herself in the midst of a very old love triangle between Alexand

What an absolutely fabulous story this is. I downloaded this book by mistake, but as fate would have it, I’ve enjoyed it a great deal more than I expected to. I don’t usually like erotic literature or stories with vampires. Goodness have I been missing out!

This story had me from the first page - long before the erotic scenes and vampires appeared.

The main character is very strongly drawn, she is complex and interesting and although she exhibits a ‘tough lass’ exterior it is quickly apparent tha

LOVE IS ETERNAL !!!

Wow! This is my first time reading Kim Faulks and I must say, I am impressed! Reclaimed is the first novella in The Fire and Ice Series and it is an all you can eat buffet of danger, suspense, adventure, paranormal romance, mystical creatures and past lives. The story is exciting, original, imaginative, thrilling, suspenseful, riveting, intelligent, romantic, arousing, sensual and steamy. The dialog is smart, crisp and flows well. There are a few editing errors but overall, we

If you like dark paranormal romance that borders on being erotica, I recommend this book. I found it a bit dark for my usual taste, but it is well written and held my interest to the end.

This wasn't a book I'd likely read again or ever read it in a single day, but it isn't one I regret reading either. The characters are well debeloped and the story is well written overall. I can't really find fault anywhere. Even the editing, while not perfect, was good. So why only 3 stars? It just never pulle

Reclaimed is the first book that I have read by Kim Faulks. I usually don't read Erotica in any form, paranormal or otherwise. I met the author online via a really close friend of mine who spoke very highly of Kim's writing. We spoke briefly and exchanged books to review for each other. There was a very natural connection, almost a kinship between us-even though she is Australia and I am in the US. Normally, this is not something that I do. It's hard enough finding time to read just for fun, so ...more

ARC for Review. I really enjoyed this lil steamy novella ~ Natalie is a tough bodyguard, she doesn't take crap from anyone either. Alexander Ash, oh my, a gorgeous vampire indeed, but does he have Natalie's best interest in mind? Very clean writing style, the character building was great, world building was different with twists and turns I didn't see coming... Waiting for installment 2

I quite like a bit of smut now and then to break up the monotony but this was not my cup of tea... concept seems to be a good one but it kinda attacked the page and was a bit too harsh for me... also - watch our for the cliffhanger... I'm not compelled to buy the rest sorry Kim

Armed and dangerous, Natalie Sommers is one of the best bodyguards around. When she's hired by the handsome Alexander Ash, her world turns upside-down. She has this strange attraction to him, but she doesn't want to sleep with a client. Yet Alexander turns out to be much more than a billionaire playboy. He's a vampire, and he's been waiting for her forever. The problem is: he's not the only one.

Unique story line and decent read. There were a few confusing parts but still kept my interest. Now the debate on going to the next book has started. ;)

I wasn't sure what to make of "Reclaimed" by Kim Faulks at first. Natalie Sommers has served two tours in Afghanistan and also with the Australian army. In short, she is a tough no nonsense security bodyguard expert. Her life is going as planned though a bit lonely until she is hired to escort and protect the mysterious Alexander Ash and she finds herself very much attracted and connected to him in some strange way. At first, the book seemed like a regular tough woman protects sexy and ...more

interesting plot line, unsatisfying read

I realize that this is the first in a series, but it is not a story unto itself. It reads like the first third or half of a novel. We are adults. We can read more than 200 pages. The author wrote as if I understood the universe she was writing about. I didn't.

The idea that a woman born today could be the reincarnated wife an an ancient vampire is interesting. Add in the personal affections of the Djinn from her past and you have the makings of a great sto

All of the stepping stones are here to make this a good book and to draw you in, unfortunately it just didn't happen for me.

Natalie is a good strong lead to start with, you get the impression that nothing fazes her. But then she meets Alexander Ash and she becomes completely different. Blame it on mind fog but she doesn't consider this strange until over halfway through the novella.

Blame it on the novella but I personally feel this book would be better more fleshed out, with a longer time span.

Gun happy hard-boiled heroines are not usually my style or my cup of tea,Natalie is without doubt a damaged young woman, isolated, over-worked and suffering from PTSD after serving in the forces she seems to keep the whole world at a distance to keep herself from getting close to anyone. That is until the mysterious Alexander Ash becomes her new client. To further add complications she begins to find herself attracted to him, that is until Malik turns up and he turns her entire world upside ...more

Natalie is a tough bodyguard who’s good at what she does. She gets assigned a job guarding Alexander that she reluctantly takes. Things aren’t quite what they appear to be. Alexander’s a vampire who’s been searching for her eternity. But he’s not the only one…

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review. It’s been a while since I read a good paranormal w/some action. Not magic waving stuff but some serious butt kicking action. I liked the characters…flaws and all. Natalie…one tough chick

Paranormal erotic romance. Strong, tough as nails heroine. Two mysterious men entering her life filling in the blanks of a past life she had long ago lived and forgotten. Both men wanting her. Which does she choose? That is the direction this novel takes you.Being erotic expect sex ;). You will find it in these pages. The ending was too quick for me as I want to know what was going to happen as she embarks on the next chapter of this journey. Which means I need to find book #2. For those of us ...more

This could be a really good book with a serious rewrite- overhaul the long rambling non-sensical sentences. Fix the continuity issues. Do a major cleanup of the never ending typos. It's a decent enough story that with an honest-to-goodness HARD EDIT might make for an interesting read. I think with the way that it is presented now the author is turning a lot of readers off because it is really, really hard to find the motivation to finish the story.
Lorraine Lesar
Firstly, be warned that this book is part of a series and leaves you, at the end, with lots of questions and no answers. The sex scenes are harsh not romantic or beautiful in any form and therefore I would not class this book as a "paranormal romance" more as a "erotic paranormal story". So, if you like your heroine strong and with a no nonsense approach to sex and you don't mind buying into the next books in the series, then this is for you.

This erotic thriller was pretty good. I'm not giving it 5 stars due to the fact that it left to many questions about why a strong willed independent woman, Natalie, would succumb to stories about her past and her present with such ease. In the beginning of the story, Natalie showed so much inner strength. As the story unfolded, she became a different woman. She accepted facts to easily. However, Reclaimed is a good book. It is well written, great characters and a good story.

I have been an avid reader for longer than I can remember, desiring the darker, edgier works of Bram Stoker, Stephen King, Dean Koontz. I first started writing in High School giving that away when my first attempt was nothing more than dribble. I wish now that I kept at it, pursued it with a hunger that I currently possess.

Writing is my passion, it is what fuels the fires inside of me and it is a
