My favorite Jean Ferris novel! It champions the idea that family is the people who love you, not necessarily those to whom you are related.

I don't usually re-read books. I have read this book at least 4 times. It's the kind of book that stays with you, but you want to keep reading over and over anyway--thanks to it's lovable, quirky characters. "Looking for Home" holds the beautiful message that family is not about bloodlines, but about love.

I first read this book when I was a teenager and it's stuck with me ever since. To find it on my bookshelf again I just had to read it again and it didn't disappoint

it took me awhile to find this book i remembered from when i was a kid. re-reading it made me smile because i've always liked stories about eclectic self-made families.

Yet she's never forgotten ...more
