A cute romance with a bit of mystery included.

Maggie is a widow traveling with her 2 children by stagecoach to Santa Barbara from San Francisco. It's for the health of her son Jamie. Also in the coach are an educated man, Mr. Stevens who gets off at a stop, an outlaw and his jailer.

The stagecoach loses control and crashes on a pass and the driver and jailer are killed. Dominick saves the life of Jamie and Maggie and Dominick are thrown together to save the reputations of both of them. Posing as

Thrills, mystery, suspense, romance: Margaret penned it all. Nothing wrong with this, except Margaret happened to be writing for the church newsletter. After making the church picnic read like a Grisham novel, her former pastor took her aside and said, "Maybe God's calling you to write fiction."
