This was by far the best knot book I've ever read. I've read through and browsed many knot books before and they all seem very overwhelming and give you way to much useless information - knots you'll never use.

The first half of this book is written to explain rope material and construction, rope selection, care, and management. Any outdoorsman or person who handles rope in their work place on a regular basis will find this short read helpful. The last thing you need to know is a bunch of random...more
Very clear and concise. The only drawback is that for non-experts, or non-proficient types, it can be kind of hard to understand how to tie the knots from word descriptions
Book on Knots, it's not a page turner, but informative.
