I ended up really loving Akane in this volume. It takes a lot of guts for her to honestly tell Daichi her feelings and get an honest answer from him, and I really admired her for her reaction. She's come a long way as a character, and it's been done very realistically.

A Quickie Review

Another more dramatic entry in the Kitchen Princess manga. I'm curious to see where things go from here.

I of coarse love this series. It is filled with hope and cooking. Also drama is at every turn

Kitchen Princess is about a girl named Najika who has an extremely positive an upbeat personality. She has been admitted at Seika Academy’s Special Class because she has a talent in cooking. Through various adventures and mishaps she struggles to find her way along with the help of Daichi and Sora Kitazawa.

I read this series on a whim; I was really into cooking at one point. It is cute and fun, just pure enjoyable reading. I was delighted to find out that there are even recipes for what she make

In Kitchen Princess, Volume 7: Spitting Image, the new star of Seika Academy is introduced and, boy, is he a douchebag. Actually, he is exactly like a male version of Akane. Perhaps, like Akane, he will also get an attitude adjustment and turn out to be a decent guy.

I find it odd that he has a striking resemblance to a certain special someone. It's pretty eerie.

This volume made me so hungry! Loved all the food, especially the madeleines. Drool!

This volume was a lot of fun and I am enjoying getting to know Seiya better. I can't wait to read the next volume in the series!

Contains Chapters 29 - 33
Chapter 29.) Najika and the Fruit Cocktail
Chapter 30.) Najika and the Madeleines
Chapter 31.) Najika and the Neapolitan Spaghetti
Chapter 32.) Najika and the Mille - Feuille
Chapter 33.) Najika and the Cheescake

The Madeleines competition was fun! I loved when Daichi cooked Neapolitan Spaghetti for Najika. I didn't know that Mille-feulle means 1000 leafs, when Akane tells Daichi how she feels a part of me feels sorry for her, but I loved how he was straight forward and told her he is only interested in one girl and that is Najika.

This volume was a little different. Not sure how I feel about the new character. At the beginning, I thought he was a jerk. Then, he started to redeem himself. Poor Akane. I'm glad that what happened finally did, but at the same time I felt bad for her. I'll have to get volume 8 from the library sometime soon.
