Bill Runson has a nice house, but he's almost ready to sell it. All it does is attract house guests. Before the weekend ends, it will house his former stepmother, his stepsister, who used to be a bully but who has matured most attractively, his cousin (who has an apartment around the corner!), two housekeepers and a perfect stranger. And then one of them will be dead...I had thought I'd read all of these books, so it was delightful discovering a "new" (circa 1953) volume.

My second read from The Little Sisters; I like the their fun style and the screwball dialogues, but the murderer's plan and motive were absolutely nonsensical.

Jessie Constance Little (1899-1980) co-authored with her sister Gwenyth Little mysteries in the screwball-comedy fashion. The Little sisters are referred to as "queens of the wacky cozy." They were sometimes published as Conyth Little, a portmanteau of their names.
