Shelves: holocaust-shoah
Rabbi Kohn presents a detailed, in-depth study of Hebrew poetry reflecting Holocaust themes, shock, despair, the apathy of the world to the plight of the Jews, the test of faith, and guilt among survivors. The idea is that poetry best reflects the varied emotions surveyed and the testimony of those who bore witness. As such, this work lends an extremely important perspective on the Holocaust, as experienced by the victims themselves, on their own terms.
