God allowed me to lead a neighborhood group of ladies in this study as I have seen in my life the Person of the Holy Spirit speak to me, direct my footsteps, and guide me towards the Calling HE has for my life!! As a result, a new neighbor shared how she would like that level of faith and that began the neighborhood group!! God is All-Knowing and HE knew how lives would be Blessed and Transformed :)

Overall, while I didn't think the book revealed any ground-breaking new revelations about hearing from God, I thought it was very well presented & did explain some concepts that I knew in new ways I'd never thought of before. I used this book for a Bible study with my Young Adult Sunday School class, & everyone seemed to really enjoy it. It led to some very interesting discussions during class.

Absolutely awesome and engaging. It will take you to a new level in your relationship with God. I learned that prayer is more than me coming to God and unloading my baggage on HIM BUT also my taking the time to be quiet and listen to HIM, listen for HIS response and listen for HIS instruction. I am now becoming more adept and discerning when the Lord is speaking to me, although I will admit I'm still learning and understanding.
Loved this book! Priscilla Shirer truly speaks to our deepest spiritual needs and provides direct instruction on how to draw yourself nearer to God and identifying what it is God is trying to tell us. I have grown immensely spiritually since reading this book and I hope to continue to grow and use this book as a point of reference.
Three women came together to create the video study we did at church this summer: Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, and Priscilla Shirer. I was familiar with the first two, but glad to be introduced to Priscilla Shirer.

Priscilla Shirer is one of my favorite Bible teachers and she did not disappoint with this book. She writes as if she is in a small Bible study with her readers and only wants the best for them. I would love to dig into this book further in a Bible study setting, but this was a nice option in the meantime.
I loved this study. Priscilla Shirer is a great teacher filled with the Holy Spirit. There's nothing more important than being able to discern the voice of God. We need to know what our part is to have that kind of communication with the Lord and this study has given sound instruction on this matter.
Did this study in the women's bible study at my church and I LOVED it. It's an amazing study all together, and even better when you also have the DVD that goes along with it... But with or without the DVD you will learn SO much from this one.
This is an excellent study book in how to have a better relationship with God. Helps you learn how to listen and know when God is speaking to you. excellent for small groups
I'm currently volunteering at a Bible study for deaf ladies where we are studying this book. It's been an awesome study so far.
So far - after only the first week - it is EXCELLENT. Learning so much about waiting and EXPECTING to hear from God.

I really enjoyed this book, just couldnt give it full marks because it is so much like Experiencing God by Henry and Richard Blackaby. But I love Shirer's voice, it is so refreshing and warm. I find myself comforted by her words.
