This edition(published by Running Press/Courage Books imprint, 2002) consists of 2 previously published books: "Complete Guide to Everything Sold in Hardware Stores" (729 pgs, Macmillan, 1998) and "Complete Guide to Everything Sold in Garden Centers" (368 pgs, Macmillan, 1990). Here they are still in their entirety; the two sections each have their own introductions, tables-of-contents, indexes, and pagination.

A definite plus for my specialist reference section, but not more than the title suggests. The illustrations are large and the explainations are short, but the whole thing lacks the quirk and charm I was hoping for.
