I can't remember this book that well. I read it so many years ago. The first book I owned by Wevill, "Casual ties" was just superb. But I think Departures may have even been better. At this moment, I cannot locate my copy of this book. It's packed away in boxes. I will come back to this after I find it and post a sample poem.

David Wevill was born a Canadian in Japan in 1935, and was educated in both Canada and England. He has lived in Burma and in Spain but has made his home in Austin, Texas for the past thirty years.
