A debut from thirty years ago, that takes place to the north of the border, in a small harbor town in Ontario. Reid Bennett is the whole police force, with his sidekick Sam, one very smart German Shepard. With some subtle clues, and good atmosphere of the Canadian countryside, this was a good start to the series.

Interesting story.

Found another author, will be reading more of Reid Bennett adventures. Chemist found the formula how to cook the most wanted drug and people are after the disk. Quite little town starts filling with bodies. Most of the time author lets you figure out what's coming next, did figure out the bad guy early.

First person . . . . felt like a poor man's Jesse Stone. Got to about 12 % and basically decided I didn't care at all for the style or the 'voice'. So Did not finish.
