I went started reading this book thinking that it was a romance and found out that it was a sci-fi romance. Usually I don't read that genre, but I have to say, this book did NOT disappoint. I loved it from the first few chapters all the way to the end. I didn't find myself bored at all whilst reading this book and when I finished, I was sad that there wasn't anymore.

I loved all of the characters, and didn't know which side to route for at one point but I'm glad with the outcome.

I think this is a

This book was such an easy story to read. It honestly flew by because I was so enthralled. I had to stop about 30% in to finish up a review for another book, and it KILLED me to have to put it down. I didn’t want to. I needed to know what happened on the next page or chapter. Everything about this book kept me wanting more.

Usually I’d give a brief summary here of what the book is about but honestly…I can’t. Her synopsis is perfect. It tells you exactly what you need to know without giving too m

For a debut , this was brilliant ! Right from the cover to the very last page Elizabeth Wyke captured and held my attention!

Any book involving a bookstore , library and/or a geek of sorts immediately has me drooling and excited ! I was rewarded with an Adonis as well , in this case !

I was in 7th heaven the minute I started "Call it Fate" let me share my thrill "......found tranquility in my books. Books and learning became the crux of my existence. They were constant. And predictable......"

I finally had a chance to finish this book today! The length of time it took me to read it is in NO way a reflection of the amazing quality of the book. In fact, I was sneaking reads in EVERYWHERE. Literally, I was reading while waiting in the audience at a concert, that's how engrossing it was.

I was so surprised by this book! I've never read something that was written by someone I actually know. So, for the first few pages all I could think was, "I know the person who wrote that sentence. And t

Great plot! I was very interested in how this was going to play out. When Hannah (our main character) finds a librarian Spencer Rush aka Rush, he is very mysterious. I was dying to learn what this book had. So she discovers he has the book and steals it from him, he follows her home. Bam, bingo, bang zoom this is in the first few chapters. It is a quick moving story. All the while the mystery of the book unravels.

So the secret is hidden from Hannah and it protects a lot! Now with Rush, who has h

I am not good at writing reviews, which is why I typically let the stars do the talking for me. But I had to say that this book is not like a typical romance, and that is a breath of fresh air. In fact, I don't know whether to call it more of a romance with adventure added in, or adventure with romance. Either way, more books in the romance genre could get learn something from this to change up the monotony that is the stereotype. Wyke writes well, with clever sentences that I couldn't resist ...more

I love this book. It was very interesting. It kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to read what would happen next. I got involved in the characters and was trying to tell them what to do. Giggle. Not what I expected at all, and that was a good thing. Could not, did not want, to put this book down. Read from cover to cover. So good.

Boy this book was a total surprise. After reading the blurb for Call it Fate I thought I had a nice little college romance on my hands, maybe a few ups and downs, the inevitable miscommunication and misunderstanding that ultimately is resolved, marching us straight to a happily ever after. Not quite for Call it Fate. Throw in a sneaky government conspiracy, an author turned college professor with evidence of extra-terrestrial life on earth, a power mad agency involved in a dangerous

Call it Fate was great, different, intense & gripping!

Spencer is also a loner, a geek and super intelligent but he has a secret. A secret Hannah is determined to find out!

Hannah & Spencer stumble upon eachother in the campus library, but this is not the first time Spencer has been Hannah. Hannah on the other hand is instantly attracted to the mysterious hot g

Call it Fate looked like something I'd absolutely love to read. I'm a Hugh fan of college romance stories and was really looking forward to reading this. However I realised very quickly that this wasn't your typical college romance book. The book has a slight si-fi twist to it that makes the story very original and refreshing.

This is one of those rare moments when I sit here and wonder what I can say about a book. I was offered a chance to review this and after reading the synopsis I was anxious to get started. Little did I know I was embarking on a sci-fi theme story, which more often than not never appeals to me. At first I was angry for being “tricked” as I went back to Amazon to see if I missed that little bit of information in the description. After taking some quick seconds to get over my anger I realized I am ...more

"Love's not about holding on to receipts for paybacks. It's about giving, and giving again."

This was SUCH a cute story! I will admit, I haven't read anything "paranormal" since Twilight, and it's been a while since that, so I was anxious to see what this would be like for me. This is way different than what I tend to lean toward nowadays, but it was such a refreshing change from the usual and I really, really enjoyed it!

For a debut novel, I thought Wyke's writing was absolutely stunning. There

What a wonderful debut novel! Elizabeth Wyke gave me a copy of her book for review and I am so glad she did. While the story is a pretty YA, it is extremely well written and exciting. This author has a descriptive writing style which I appreciate. As you read, it's as if you are seeing a movie in your mind, one of my favorite aspects in a book.

Hannah is a girl that has triumphed over tragedy. After a rough childhood, she is now nineteen, in college and hanging with her friend Macy. While Macy is

Call it Fate surprised me. Normally I do not like science-fiction romance novels - in fact if I read a book blurb hints at a sci-fi aspect to it, I tend to avoid it because I like stories with provable facts. It's just who I am as a person. So when I was completely sucked into the plot and the characters of this story, I was blown away. I could not put Call it Fate down and I devoured every single word.

Hannah is a 19 year old university student and an orphan - both her parents died very young ag

This book is so cute and fun! Rush is DREAMY!! Seriously.
I was hooked from the first pages of this book. Elizabeth Wyke has a great imagination and she’s created a world that draws you and makes you believe. She out a fresh, new spin on paranormal romance.
Hannah is a great heroine. She is strong, smart, and independent. She is easy to like and is someone I would like to be friends with in real life. That is something I look for in a heroine. Though she is shocked by the realities unfolding

Call it Fate that I found this book! I would like to have a cup of coffee, or perhaps a margarita, with the author. With a talent to write a story this creative, I bet she'd be awesome to hang out with.

Hannah is living a "normal" life as a college student when all of a sudden, a chance encounter with Rush (who is oh-so-awesome) send her life into a whirlwind. The events that unfold definitely kept my attention, and I felt like I was right there along with her, experiencing her emotions and analy

Loved, loved, loved! This book. I was introduced to Elizabeth Wyke via a takeover she did one night on a Facebook page so I added Call It Fate to my "to be read shelf" and I am so happy I did. It's a love story, a mystery and little bit sci-fi all rolled up into a great book. I loved how Hannah was shy at the beginning of the book but once she met Rush she found an inner strength to believe in him and herself. I liked the fact that she wasn't the normal cry baby heroine that you find in other ...more

I received a copy from Elizabeth Wyke for an honest review...
When I started the book, I thought that it was going to be a sweet romance. Two people meeting each other in college and starting a relationship. Seeing the ups and downs and hoping that the happily ever after comes in the end.. but the book through me for a loop.

OH my goodness! If I could give this 10 stars, I would! Call It Fate was very surprising. Not that it was so enjoyable - I mean, I pick books to read based on the fact that I expect to enjoy them. But where the story goes? I was NOT expecting that from the blurb & I was very happy with it! : )

You absolutely WILL NOT want to put this baby down! I, for one, have never read a sci-fi romance series, but Elizabeth Wyke certainly birthed a new genre fave.... or at least, book fave! For those skeptics out there, think of this series as such: just like how Twilight was a vampire-human love story, this is an alien-human love story.... one chalk-full of suspense, mystery, drama, you name it!! With twists and turns at every corner I was biting my nails trying to figure out exactly which side to ...more
