5 stars – Contemporary Romance/Erotica/Ménage

Before reading this, I knew there were mixed reviews, but being a big fan of Maya Banks, especially her ménage stories, I decided to read it anyway and I’m glad that I did.

Jasmine Quinn was a 16-year-old runaway who propositioned brothers Seth and Zane Morgan in a Houston bar out of desperation and fear of reprisal from a dangerous pimp who threatened her life if she didn’t turn her first trick. Horrified, Seth and Zane rescued Jasmine and brought he

"Brazen" is the first in Queen-of-the-menage Maya Banks 'Brazen' series. Her sex scenes are very erotic and her characters are very tortured and normally I like that. But there was just something about this one that kept needling at me and kept me from enjoying it as much as her other books.

Brothers Seth and Zane are in the big city bar after a successful presentation for their ranch when they are approached by a very young woman offering one of them sex. After hustling her out of the bar and th

I really enjoyed this book a lot...and was surprised that most of the reviews were rather luke warm. I read this in almost one was a quick, sexy, easy to read book. Just all around enjoyable.

Brazen is an erotic alternative romance about a committed menage relationship...or at least the building of one. Brothers Seth and Zane Morgan were out of town one day six years earlier when 16 year-old Jasmine Quinn propositioned Seth. It wasn't something she wanted to do, but sh
So I've tried a book by the famous Maya Banks. I have to say I wasn't too impressed.
Steamy, nothing to say about that but, stupid me, I need a bit more plot than the one that is NOT there in Brazen. I know, debatable that this kind of books actually NEEDS a plot - what for huh? - but beside all the... oook I won't even go into that I desperately need a story to hold all the.... errrrrr, that together. I'm not sure if it's the lack of a background, of something that my mind can hold on to, that
Anotha MB heroine who weeps outta her ass. So over waterpot heroines. Luv scenes : nuffink 2 write home 'bout.

Hopping to the picturesque West Texas to hire Mamacita (housekeeper / chaperone cum menage supporter).

I've read a few menage books, but in this one I didn't believe the relationship was balanced.

Jasmine was rescued from prostitution by brothers, Zane and Seth, at the age of 16. She has loved them ever since. In Paris, she witnesses a polyamorous relationship and decides that she wants one with the brothers. Seth and Zane have shared women before, but neither is looking for a triad relationship, Seth even less so. Jas then jumps between their beds trying to convince them of her love and that a r

I've read books from this author before and this book started out as Jasmine a determined character to get the ones she loved to love her back but in most of the book she was a bit of a whiner and a bit timid too. When she finally opened her mouth to the two brothers, Zane and Seth, to let them know what she was after is when the story started to pick up. I really enjoyed the story I wished that Jasmine wasn't such a whiner. The brothers of course were hot and I can understand Seth's withdrawal ...more
Ugh... this book SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDD! And that is putting it as nice as I possibly can.

Free download from the library was way too much to pay for this book. Save your self the trouble and read something else.
I don't know if I've ever given a Maya Banks book less than a 4. I had a 3 but the more I think of it, the more pissed I am, so I had to give it a 2.

It's a personal thing. I have SERIOUS issues with people who are supposedly "in love" but don't talk to each other. Over half of the book wouldn't have happened if she sat them down together, explained what she learned in Paris and asked that of them. But no, she lets everyone, including herself, be all hurt because she can't open her mouth before s
After a year away Jasmine Quinn decides to return home to the men she loves. Zane and Seth have always protected Jasmine, they found her as a teenage runaway and vowed never to let any harm come to her. When they see Jasmine they realize she has grown up, and Jasmine doesn't want them to see her as her protectors but as the woman she has become.

I loved this book, it was beautifully written and really went to great depths to showcase the fears Seth and Zane were feeling about sharing their love w

Look at that cover! Two hot guys for one lady. Lucky girl! But, wait... They're brothers?

I was SCARED to keep reading this. I was so afraid the brothers were going to have sex. That is not something I'm comfortable with at all. It was like watching two trains barreling towards each other and being unable to turn away, but begging them not to crash.

They don't have sex. I mean, not really. There's one scene where they both have sex with her together and that
This story was irritating to me and I could barely finish it. Jasmine was hell bent on starting a ménage with brothers Seth and Zane. So much so that she basically causes a rift between them. She sets up this diabolical plan involving handcuffs and an unwilling participant. She finally pushes Sean over the edge and he gives her and what she wants and guess what she's a virgin and isn't prepared for any pain. Seth was her biggest obstacle not wanting either Zane or himself to have any kind of a s ...more

Not One of Banks Best

A menage story of one woman who loves two men, the story lacks emotional connection between the characters.

THE STORY: Jasmine Quinn was taken into the home of Seth and Zane Morgan when she was a sixteen year old runaway who propositioned Seth in a bar in order to satisfy the pimp that was forcing her to sell herself. Seth and Zane were horrified and hustled Jasmine into their home and built a family around her. When Jasmine realized that she was in love with both brothers, s
Pretty good book. Jasmine is in love with both of the Morgan brothers. She knows she can't have both of them and doesn't want to cause trouble so she leaves, only to return to them and the ranch all grown up. She is determined to show them they don't need to choose between themselves, that all 3 can have a intimate loving long term relationship. But one brother Seth, is harder to convince. He does not want to share his woman.
Jasmine was a 16 year old foster child runaway forced into prostitution when she met brothers Seth and Zane. They took her in and made her part of their family. Years later, when Jasmine realized she was in love with both brothers, she fled to Paris to gain some perspective.
Upon her return to the ranch, she was all set to put forth her plan of getting both men to fall in love with her, and live out her fantasy of living as a trio, but Seth isn't as in to sharing Jasmine as she had hoped. Can she

Maya Banks is the high priestess of the Erotic Romance. I have read many many of her books/series and overall have enjoyed them all. Blaze in the first book in her Blaze series and I have to say this is probably one of my least favorite of her books.

I love menage books and MB usually does a fantastic job with them, usually you feel connected with all the characters and fall right into the story. Unfortunately this did not happen with this novel. I found our heroine Jasmine a bit weepy and timid

Home is where the heart is and in Jasmine's case two men hold hers.

In light of her unrequited feelings for two men and after taking some time away to mature, Jasmine is back home on the Sweetwater Ranch and ready to show these brothers she's all grown up. The circumstances surrounding their first meeting set the precedence in how Seth and Zane treat her and Jasmine aims to change it with her body and confessions of love. As soon as she's back at the ranch she starts an aggressive campaign in se

I more than love ménage stories and having read other books by this author, which I really enjoyed, was really looking forward to reading this book.

It’s not exactly an awful book just that it failed to pull me into the whole story and the characters.

So Jasmine runs off to Paris because she doesn’t know how to deal being in love with Seth & Zane, the two brothers that she has been friends with for years. After a year in the city of love, she is ready to face the challenge, flies back to the

Playing with Fire Never Burned So Darn Good!!

What's a girl to do when she's HEAD-OVER-HEELS INFACTUATED with two STUBORN, ALPHA-MALE TEXAN BROTHERS? Hoping to prove to them she does NOT harbor tender love & care for one more than the other. That she irrevocably desires, cherish, & love them equally with her ENTIRE MIND, BODY, & SOUL.

Besides knocking them over the head with an enormous mallet, and dragging them back to her lair. It's gonna have to take a whole LOAD OF MISCHIEVOUS COER

First in the Brazen erotic romance series set in Texas. The couple, er, threesome focus is on Jasmine Quinn and Zane and Seth Morgan on the Sweetwater Ranch.

My Take
This wasn't very good. It's more as if Banks was going through the motions and forgot that a love story should include a lot more emotion than was here. There were some lovely tense bits with Zane wanting Jaz and Seth thinking that made the two of them a couple and Jaz off-limits to him. Feeling outside. Then when Jaz propositions h

I really, really liked this one. This is my second Maya Banks read (first being Colters' Woman) and I really need to read more. This is a very, VERY different menage book than I am used to reading. For a fresh change, the GIRL is the one insisting on the menage...and the guys are not wanting to share, even though they have shared women before as "kink" (their words, not mine). One of the more realistic menage books that I have read...I've always had an issue with the ones where the guys just sha ...more

Totally different than a normal Maya Banks! I won't say it was her best book, but to be fair this was much earlier in her career. She has definitely grown as a writer. But seriously, this was a different ball game!

She is no stranger to menage, and lordy, does she do well with it! What is different that these men rescued her as a child and she grew up into a woman they couldn't resist! Awkward! Poor bastards.

Also! Every other Maya Banks menage has had self-assured men where they wer
Ambers Guilty Pleasure (Amber Fueston)

Normally I love anything written by Maya Banks but there was just something with this one that didn't click with me. It had a rushed feeling to me. I loved the idea of the back story of Jasmine but I would have liked more details. I think the way she went about trying to get to both men was a little slutty and immature, especially considering that she "loves" both men. She is getting sexual with both men before even beginning to really explain whats going on. Zane accepted things way too e
Five amazing stars!!!!!

I loved this book!!!!!

Every book i read from Maya blows my mind! The characters are always so relatable, and by the time you get to the end of the first chapter you already feel like you've known them forever.

She is a sweet character, and they are amazing guys too, zane took my heart though, he always accepted her, i would take him in a heartbeat.
She decided to leave instead of choosing between to two. Now after a year away and some advise, she is back and determined to make them see that they could it work. Only one of the brothers didn't see it her way and she ended up making a mess of things and running again.
I just did not like these characters as much as I feel in love with the Colter's.

I have to say that I am a HUGE fan of Maya Banks!!! I was just not convinced with this book. I'm not going to give out any spoilers because honestly everyone has their own opinion about how they feel about a book. I'm just going to say that to me there wasn't much of a story, I wasn't convinced of the characters and as an avid reader of her books I was hoping for more.
