My daughter and I picked this up at the library because she had to read a fantasy for a reading project at school. She really enjoyed reading this one and she begged me to read it too. It's probably exactly at the 3rd grade level. The plot is centered around a simple farming family that is struggling to make ends meet. One day they find that their goose has laid a golden egg and their luck begins to change. What a sweet little story.

It is a nice book because a farmer was too at that time and a told 1 of his goose which was laying eggs that he was going to kill it.But after that his goose laid 5 eggs.he thoght there were 4.luckily 5.He was very very excited when he saw a beautiful golden egg.After 3 days, he saw agolden goosling.The farmer quickly called his wife in extreme happiness.The farmer's wife was surprised
