I got the chance to borrow this book from a friend to take a look at and there are some really great patterns in it. The patterns are based on using 'jelly rolls' for your fabric which you can buy in any good quilting supply shop.
Did my first ever quilt from this book - Pineapple Surprise, followed by the more ambitious "Both sides of the pond". Jelly rolls plus this book are great for beginner quilters who might be anxious about coordinating fabrics. A great introduction to the craft of quilting.
Pretty good designs and well explained directions. I am currently making something from this book. So I might like it more if it turns out good.
I realize this isn't exactly rainy day reading. But it is pretty awesome.
