So, D&I read this in conjunction with our Scripture study when moving out to Virginia and we're just wrapping up. Nice reminder about why we "Preach the Gospel". Because there are those out there seeking for the truth and know not where to find it. One of my first interactions here when someone asked me about being Mormon I ended up getting lost in a discussion about the Nicean Creed. Umm. The other guy had zoned out 10 minutes ago. I think this helped me settle down and just re More...

Mike and I just finished it (we wanted to just read through it once) and we really got a lot out of it. we will probably be going back to it pretty soon to study it a little more in depth. We began reading it in depth, but found that we weren't getting the overall picture/ purpose of it, so we revised our reading strategy. It was so good to get an overall picture and I think reading in depth will be a lot more meaningful now.

The local Elders gave me this one, said I should read it. It also seemed like the stake presidency used it in all their talks last year at stake conference. It was much better than the discussion from my time. The gospel was explained clearly and it covered most concerns of investigators well.

As a missionary this sets up how you should be teaching and creates goals and standards that should be adhered to. I wish I would have had it as a missionary, it would have simplified, organized, More...

I am so glad I read this cover to cover for the challenge issued in our ward. Nothing I've read in years has made such a difference in my daily life (other than the scriptures themselves.)
If you choose to read it, seriously consider looking up each verse of scripture that accompanies the text. I think that is the thing that enriched my experience reading this the most.
I have to admit, I read this and almost felt mad, though--mad that it wasn't available when I was a missionary in Jap More...

I've read this about four times besides studying out of it...

I just finished going through this with the kids. It was a great book to read and study with them. We particularly enjoyed the discussion lessons when we studied them. This time through with the kids I didn't read some of the last chapters as I don't think they are as relevant to them right now. But as they get older we will read them. There are so many lessons that can be personally applied from studying this book.

Good Reference Book. My boys appreciated it on their 2 yr. missions to Germany,Switzerland/Austria. A quote from it helped inspire my painting, which was in the LDS 8th International Art Competition and displayed in the Conference Center, in Salt Lake City, for 10 months.
As a disciple of Jesus Christ and a convert to the church, I have always been excited to share His gospel. If anyone is shy about it, this book should help.

Aside from the Standard Works themselves, this is the most inspirational and comprehensive Guide for training missionaries ever produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is given to and studied by all full-time missionaries called by the Church to serve. It purpose is to train missionaries to "Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Ho More...

It's the best text out there on how to do effective missionary work. That is, except for the scriptures themselves--a point too often forgotten.

Having helped write this manual, I was trained to look for imperfections. But even being a trained cynic, I am still excited about this manual and how it represents an approach to missionary work that more closely tracks the course set out in the scriptures.

A great book.

An introduction to what makes the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a unique and complete gospel. It strengthened my personal testimony and reminded me how important my baptismal covenants are. The commitment I demonstrated at baptism, linked with the priesthood covenant power was the first personal stitch sewn in a long seam that ties me to my Savior Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. A great read!

My dad said if I memorize a page, recite it to him, memorize a page recite it to him, etc., then he'll pay me $30. He also said that if I memorized the whole entire book page by page, he'll pay for my college scholarship. But since I've asked him so many times, he can see that I actually have the power to do it and he's now contemplating whether to keep up on that deal. :)

Wow, the more I read this book, the more I find I don't know and there is more to learn. I have learned a lot from this book how to reach out with God in Love to get to know my Neighbors (you can't Love your Neighbors unless you get to know them though God's eyes) and this book(if done long enough) does just that :) and more!

Every line in this modern scripture is a carefully crafted gem. It can be a ready compliment to anybody's study of the Bible, Book of Mormon, and other standard works. It also has helpful sections to teach goal-setting and achievement, formulated with consultation from the folks at Franklin-Covey.

I read this probably 15x on my mission. I'm reading it again right now from the point of view of a parent, not a missionary. It is really amazing thinking of my kids as investigators [needing to teach them about the gospel, how to pray, how to recognize the Spirit... and how to gain their own testimonies].

I use this book daily. It is inspired from cover to cover. It is consise, gives great examples, and quotes from our Prophets. It is the cutting edge for missionaries and missionary work. It is a basic tutor for what members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe.

I went through several versions of this guide and every single one of them was inspired. This guide is a wonderful study guide and general reference for those seeking greater closeness to their Savior and who have a desire to bring others to Christ as well.

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Preach My Gospel as an instructor in the MTC. It made changes that were long overdue. I still use PMG on a weekly basis to prepare lessons for my young men. This is one book that never becomes dusty in my house.

I really enjoy reading Preach My Gospel. I have now read it and listened to it on mp3 (free from lds.org). The insights here aren't just how to share the gospel, but also why sharing it is important. I regularly use this book when teaching in my calling.

Yup, definitely read this a few times (et en français). Great explanation of doctrine and guide for how to achieve success in missionary work. Takes multiple readings to get the most out of it and apply all of its teachings and techniques.

I read this while Rachel was on her mission and was reading it too. I think it is one of the best gospel study tools around. It taught me some powerful lessons about studying the scriptures topically.

I'm reading this one morning a week. It involves a lot more studying, pondering and writing than I expected. But I always close it determined to share the gospel with everyone I see. It's so good for me.

Great book. Clear, organized. A must for any latter-day Saint who wants to understand the gospel as well as share it more effectively. If one applies the principles, it can change his or her life.

This book is a huge improvement of what they used to have. It also makes a very good reference book to study various topics. Several times it made me want to go back out on a mission.

This came out towards the end of my mission. It was awesome to be able to study and teach from! I love how it's a church-wide manual and not just used for missionaries.
