Stanislaskis family stories set in late 1990's set in New York and West Virginia. The Ukranian family had a strong bond and made of strong characters set in interesting places. Actually very realistic situations of choosing between love and careers.
"Waiting for Nick" is the story of Freddie heading to New York to chase after her dream job as a Broadway musical writer and get the man she has had a crush on since she was a teenager. A fun and sweet story. It was great how...more

I read this book as part of a book challenge to read something you don't normally read. I've never read a typical romance novel and I guess Nora Roberts is known as one of the most popular in the business. I was skeptical at first, but I think I've found a new author when I need a good beach read. :)
Both stories were fun and drew me in from the get-go. A few twists and turns to keep things interesting, but for the most part it's straight-forward girl meets boy, g...more

The first story, "Waiting for Nick", was another great story from Nora Roberts...
"Considering Kate" went above and beyond my expectations! This easily could have been made into a 400+ page book, instead of a shorter story. The characters were easily lovable and the emotion that came through the pages was staggering in some parts.
You'll want to read this if you're a fan of Nora Roberts, or like heartfelt stories.

i know Nora Roberts can be slightly simple to read at times but i did like these two stories. simple yet i actually liked the people and cared about them. while it wasn't a earth shatteringly great book it was enjoyable!
Even though I was really looking forward to the first story to see what happened between Freddie and Nick, I enjoyed the second story more. The characters were stronger and better developed, I thought and Jack was a joy.
Just finished rereading these two stories from the second generation of Stanislaskis and I have really enjoyed them. Two very different stories but with a strong family vein running through.
Another great novel by Nora Roberts. She may be a writer of cheesy romance novels, but I think she is a step above the norm. A very good author and a joy to read. I love how she intertwines the lives of the characters, whether they are main or minor. She is also very good at adding humor!

My little Freddie!! I love her story and Kate finds herself a great little family too!!
I really liked this book and I love Nora Roberts. I like how she does a few books with the same family.
All these books are kind of a guilty pleasure and a bit naughty.... so of course I kept reading them! :)
Both of these are enjoyable, but I prefer the original four stories of this family to these two.
2 cute short stories in one book. Just picked it up at the library.

Umpteen is the Stanislaski series....good lord there is another one.
it a really good book
This one brought the series to a beautiful ending. I really enjoyed the continuity of seeing the kids of the couple from the first book of the series grown up and with their own love stories.
I love this entire series. I love this family they are amazing and i also love the romance and drama its a great book for people who love romance/dramas and books that continue to a whole family. Nora roberts did a great job with this book...if only they made the series into a movie (in my dreams maybe)
Two romance stories about 2 sisters in one book - "Waiting for Nick" and "Considering Kate." Definitely a light read with no surprises. Thought it was a nice read for February.
I thought the book was great, couldn't put it down, started reading it on Friday and finished it on Sunday. I absolutely loved Kate, Brody and Jack! Great book!
I really love the ending. This is the first book I have ever cryed too. The ending is so sweet.
This was an easy read. The last one to a family series. Good book
Loved Kate's story!
