First off if you're a Harry Dresden fan than you have to get your hands on this comic/graphic novel. Welcome to the Jungle is a brand new story written exclusively for comics and includes a note from the author about why he unwaveringly will continue to call them comics. Also, you get to see exactly what Butcher imagines Harry really looks like and the illustrator Adrian Syaf does not disappoint. Reading this was like falling in love with comics all over again but now there was the added benefit ...more

If you're a fan of Harry Dresden, any opportunity for a new adventure starring him is a welcome one. So coming across this graphic novel from 2008 is a little like finding out that Bob has been hiding on your bookshelf next to the racier paperbacks for years. If you get it, you get it. If Butcher were to flesh this out into a full novel I would have liked it better because I would get more dialogue and that means more witty Dresden banter and story development. I liked this for what it was, but I'

Overall, this graphic novel is simply amazing - The drawings are SO cool! It's great to 'see' Dresden as well as Murphy as they are pictured the same way I imagined them (more or less!). The writing is also just as good as usual and overall, it's just a great novel!
