A mystery resurrected from the Golden Age of British mystery writing. It contains the usual panoply of assets from the era: country houses, inheritances, people wanted to get their hands on the inheritances, and a smart detective from Scotland Yard. Clumsy writing and an edition filled with punctuation and spelling errors detract from the charm.
