This was a short quick read that I liked. Melanie Olson returns to her small Nebraska hometown to prove to the commitment challenged Raymond what a mistake he made when she gets a flat tire Jake Monroe comes to her rescue. These two had sparks from the beginning but Melanie only has eyes for Raymond or does she. Jake is a hot sexy cowboy and he knows it's going to take a lot to get Melanie to look his way and he is up for the challenge. This was a good it was well written with no errors in ...more

A COWBOY THAT SAYS DARLIN'...swoon worthy! I swear I could hear him saying it, too!
Melanie and Jake have chemistry to spare, but Corrissa James is great at giving a novella teeth when it comes to problems and obstacles that keep people apart. I really liked that not everything is rosy and perfect. That's not real...these novellas are real and down to earth.
I've read the whole series and I'd suggest to those who love cowboys who know what respect is and they give it in spades.

Melanie and Jake’s love story is beset by a comedy of errors. but no misunderstandings are enough to destroy their connection in this sweet romance novel. Chance brings them together at their parents’ wedding; bad luck and an obnoxious ex try to tear them apart. I enjoyed the rural setting and the way the author shows appreciation for the good things about both rural and urban living. One doesn’t often see such affection for the Midwest. It was also nice to see Melanie’s courage in throwing off ...more

This was a quick, entertaining tale. The writing was great. I had trouble identifying with the characters, but I feel if the book had been a bit longer it would have allowed for more robust character-building and more dynamic relationships. That being said, I had fun reading it and look forward to reading more from Ms. James!

Sweet story

This story was short and sweet... I thought it progressed too quickly but I was ok without because I liked the characters enough... If you are looking for a story to get you through until the next big book... This is a good one

Corrissa James was not always a country girl. In fact, she fought it all her life, traveling the world to live in far-flung cities like St. Petersburg, Russia, Caracas, Venezuela, Varanasi, India, and Guadalajara, Mexico.
She didn’t realize she was meant to live in the country until she returned to her roots in Nebraska, where she discovered the beauty of the fields around her (even if she was alle
