If you want a twinkle to shine from your eyes while you are enjoying this wonderful romance than look no further. This is the first time in reading this author for me and shame on me she knows how to write. This is from a series but also is a stand alone. Four women have been getting together with what was to have been a book club to meet single local men ends up with them coming up with The Love List. To find out more about the other girls make sure you read the others even though not necessary ...more

This is a sweet story the forth part of a four book series. (Each book in the Love List Series has a different author.) Four friends started a singles group that after she time became the Love list/book club ( that never really read the books). This book focuses on Laura, all of her friends had success with finding love, and Laura was failing in her search. Now the owner of an Victorian house that has been in her family years, she decided since it was to large for just her she would convert it ...more

A super sweet read in this 4 part series. I was given these books in exchange for an honest review. I've been reading them out of order and it doesn't really matter. The premise is 4 single women become friends and decide to look for love.

Normally this kind of story is a little tame for me. There's no super action, crazy sex, or magic anywhere in site. I found myself drawn into this world regardless, because everything is so authentic.

These books are refreshing and fun. They're real. The charac

Laura is restoring her family's hundred-year-old Victorian home and turning it into a Bed and Breakfast with Cafe. She hires Travis Jerome and allows him to bring in his own helpers to do the remodeling to bring it up to code. A mishap in the basement lands both Laura and Travis in the hospital with injuries. Laura had drawn Travis' name to ask out on a date, but she can't now that he is working for her. The girls from her group, The Love List, make her draw out other names, all duds, including ...more

If you are looking for a sweet little taste of romance, you need not go any further. Building up for love is a the fourth book in The Love List Book Series.

While you may not be taken away to new heights of crazy sex or emotional love in this little read, you are still drawn in. The characters are down to earth and everything surrounding them could very well happen. Laura is sweet and self sufficient. While working on making her dream slowly become her reality, she hires Travis to work on the ol

Contemporary Romance I hadn't realized this was a short story (reading on my kindle), but that may explain the odd writing style, to some extent. This is a very short story, only taking 15-20 minutes to read. More than anything, this reads like the product of a creative writing assignment.

The story is told in real time, almost entirely via conversation. But the conversation is stilted and inadequate, making for wooden characters. I really like the idea of the plot, but the simplistic writing st

OMG! What another fabulous 5 star must read in this awesome series!! ... I have never read any of this author's works before, but I love her writing style and can't wait to get my hands on her other books :) ... Each book does stand alone, however I strongly recommend you read all 4 in order!... This book 4 is a fun, contemporary romantic read with a portion of humor & a dash of suspense to engage you & keep those pages turning, then leaves you wanting more! :o lol .... So grab all 4 of ...more

I really enjoyed this book and the realism of it. I loved that Laura had trouble in the dating world and that she didn't want to date someone who worked for her. The characters were believable and in normal everyday situations which really appealed to me. The book is a true love story but is not a book based on smut.

The internal conflict that Laura had with Travis was great and I loved how you got points of view from both characters. I also loved how food was brought into the story showing how f

Well I hate to see the Love List Series to end! The series is such a sweet and clean romance. Each author and each book represents itself nicely. This one is wonderful and I just felt that Laura and Travis were made for each other. Laura keeps picking bad dates out of the Love List basket. Travis is one she chose but he works for her fixing her house and so they can't date. Travis finds a old addition made onto the old basement they check it out and Laura and Travis fall through and Travis gets ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book. It moved along at a great pace, has amazing characters and a story that will not let you down from the moment that you start reading. This is a book that must be read and you will not be sorry that you did.

What a fantastic romance read. It is short and will hook you instantaneously. I love the setting of this read. When you dig deep you never know what you might uncover.

There are a lot of problems with this novella.

The author seems to sprint through days and cram a lot of haphazard events into a 97 page story- double spaced. Most good novellas (like from Patricia Briggs or Ilona Andrews) capture just a few hours or a couple of days at most. If the author had kept her writing to those constraints she would have been able to focus more on the characters and what they were feeling/thinking. Throughout the story I didn't have any real reason to like Travis other t

Laura & Travis were a perfect match!

Building Up To Love is a light-hearted, lift your spirits kind of book. It’s #4 in The Love Lists series and Laura’s turn to tell her story:)

I liked Laura! She’s a “get it done” woman. She’s not looking for a man to depend on, she’s just looking for love. She’s also very kind, willing to go that extra mile just to make people happy:)

Travis is the kind of man every women wants, he’s kind, sexy, and knows how to treat a lady!

The romance is short but it nev

Building up to Love by Joanne Jaytanie
This story is about Laura and her pick is Travis Jerome. She is converting her old huge house into a B&B and cafe and needs help.
He is a handyman living with his aging grandparents, caring for them and running errands. He applies for the job she has just posted in her front window.
They run into issues and they fall through the floor with injuries.
Good reads and story lines, enjoyed the books and the Pancake Club is next in the series.

If you enjoyed the first 3 books this will not disappoint. While it seems all of Laura's friends have found love, is Laura also going to find love? In comes Travis, a contactor hired to fix up her old Victorian house. Could the friendship that develops lead to something more?

Building Up To Love is a definitely a welcome addition to the series, and is worth the read.
