If you want to read an extremely well written book about flying, life that it's not just the usual (although interesting) collection of anecdotes, this the one.
Captain Manno brings out his own reflection and thought about flying and the journey that it is, and it keeps getting applied to life.
It is not a self-help manual or a philosophy, instead he brings you inside his head as he thinks, making you a part of that process and helping you make your own realizations.
