There's some fantastic advice here for those going through the humbling process of becoming a professional writer. From how to properly woo an editor, to picking apart a contract, to performing anti-eyestrain massages, it is without any bullshit.

The most informative guide to writing and publishing around, and hidden in the form of a commonplace book. Gems of wisdom sparkle from every page. Not only is THE DOG for writers, but also explains the arcane process of writing and publishing for the avid reader who wants to know how these things called "books" get made. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a parade every day for THE DOG.

The Dog is a wonderful addition to any aspiring writer’s bookshelf. The small amount of pages are packed full with wit, sarcasm, and most importantly, experienced advice on how to be inspired, how to write like a professional, and how to navigate through the publishing world. I recommend this book to any writer, especially indie-writers who need the advice now more than ever.
