While Jules complains about the superficial rules of her coven -- always fly home, wear cloaks not coats -- it's never occurred to her to question the larger issues.
How could vampires and werewolves be anything but bad? And how could the coven's mission to reveal and destroy such monsters be wrong?
But as Jules's eighteenth birthday approaches, she sees the other girls in the coven turn angry and frightened as they're fully initiated. How much is there...more

i liked this book more than the rating i gave it but less than a 5 star rating. i liked how realisic it really is. by day they are normal teenage grils who go to high school but by night they are mysterious witches who destroy evil... so they think. overall i quite enjoyed this book. it kept me up all night!
Jules and her good friends Dani, Sascha, Zahara, and Margo aren’t just your ordinary clique of teenagers; they belong to a coven of Revealer witches and have the power to make certain supernatural creatures reveal themselves so that these dangerous beasts can be destroyed. But at the age of eighteen, each girl is initiated into the coven’s inner circle. But this ceremony isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, at least, it seems this ways to Jules after having watched three of her friends come out...more

Nestled in a regular Connecticut community is a coven of witches that have been keeping their area safe from werewolves, vampires, and demons for hundreds of years. For the youngest generation of the coven—Sascha, Margo, Zahara, Dani, and Jules—this is their life, and though they wish for a little more freedom, they recognize their responsibility.

Jules, Dani, Zahara, Sascha and Margo may look like typical teenagers, but typical teenagers don’t ride around on broomsticks in the dark of night, cast hexes at each other, or vanquish the forces of darkness. Jules and her friends are Revealers, members of a coven of witches who exist to drive back the dark forces. By day, they’re regular high school students, but at night, the hunt down supernatural baddies and force them to reveal their true nature before vanquishing them.

I was lucky enough to win a copy of REVEALERS from a contest on Amanda Marrone's blog, and read it soon after it came in the mail, intrigued by the mysterious beauty of the metallic blue cover. I finished the story over the course of two or three days, drawn into the world of Jules, a highschool senior and Revealer witch: one of several teenage girls with the power to force werewolves, vampires, etc. into revealing their true natures so the Revealers can kill the unpleasant undead.

What can I say? Book was good. Finished it in a day. A little pissed at myself about that one but eh....what can i say....Book was good (did i say that already?) So here goes...Jules...I loved her...Dani...Loved her...Finn Loved him...wish we had more of him. As much as i didn't like Connor (from the very beginning i'll have everyone know that i didn't like him)I don't think he deserved what he got in the end. See what bad parenting will do to us folks?! I thought this book was extremely unique....more

I had no intentions of reading Revealers after I had read Uninvited by the same author. Luckily for me I ended up needing another book, and Uninvited had a little preview of Revealers. After reading maybe about five pages I was hooked. If I hadn't already purchased Revealers I would have made a pit stop at the book store just for it.
Even with the great start I was afraid this book would somehow take a turn and I would end up with another Uninvited. More teen drama then urban fantasy. I sh...more

Jules and her group of friends are witches who spend their time away from everyday high-school life killing vampires, ghost, and werewolves under the directives of their mothers. As the girls 18th birthdays approach, they anticipate their official entry into the witch coven but discover there are dangerous secrets about the coven that their mothers have been keeping from them.

By day, Jules and her friends Dani, Zahara, Margo and Sascha are ordinary high-school girls. By night, they're high flying spell zapping demon hunting witches, but there's a horrifying secret about their coven they each discover on their eighteenth birthday. Being the youngest, Jules is the last to find out, and seeing the terror and confusion in her friends only makes her want to know more.

Four stars is a little generous - more like 3.5.
Jules is the youngest of the latest generation of the local coven. She's a revealer, which means when normal teens are sleeping or studying, she's out with the other teenage girls in her coven hunting down vampires, werewolves, and ghosts. The five girls, all born within weeks of each other are fast approaching their eighteenth birthday when they'll be officially initiated into the coven. Revealers is a somewhat coming of age story. It tells about the experiences of five best friends over the span of a couple months. Throughout their lives, they were raised in a witch coven, led to believe that they were riding the world of its monsters. As coven tradition, the girls are officially initiated on their 18th birthday and become privy to the coven’s most valuable secrets. Jules, the youngest of all her friends, notices the difference in the other’s after the initiation ceremony. Not...more

I'm finished with this book and What can I say with it? this one is off the hook. though, there are some swearing and some intimate scenes I only recommend this for young adults. Anyway, moving on, Jules is your ordinary typical high school student who kicks vampires, werewolves and halfdemons butts at night with her girlfriends, Sacha, Z, Margo and Dani -her bestfriend. These girls put a spell on them called Reveal and then kill...more

I cannot in all fairness say this was an awful book...but there is no way it was a great book,or a phenomenal one. This book did not incite me to any wealth of emotion. To me a great author should move me to experience what the characters are experiencing. Joy, love, fear, hate, sorrow....all of these I should be made to feel if the characters feel them. Despair should leap off the page to me, or surround me like a shroud. Sorrow should have me feeling like I can't go on... Either way, I should...more

Revealers is a neat little story that incorporates demons, witches, werewolves, vampires and ghosts all into the one book. I quite liked reading it.
The storyline was a pretty good one. I thought the suspense of finding out what the big secret was pulled me into the story and had me reading a lot to find out just what it was.
Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the big secret and the ending. I felt there was too much hype for something that wasn't such a big thing.

If I was asked if I liked this book, my response would be no, but that's not entirely true. I liked the storyline a lot, but there were alot of things I didn't like. First of all (though this is probably a really lame excuse as to why I don't like the book), their cloaking spell sounds like it's supposed to rhyme, but it doesn't. Second, all their hunts are exactly alike. There's no variety in what happens in the hunts (with the exception of Kelsey), so I wasn't really looking forward to them go...more

This was a pretty cute book - My favorite thing was the "pet Ghost Balls" :) Jules's mom was a glass blower and made Crystal balls - They found a way to trap ghosts inside the balls and keep them. They usually don't hunt ghosts because they don't hurt people. just annoy them. So what's the problem with capturing them and putting them out on the coffee table? They make cool haunting sounds :)

After reading Uninvited, to be met with disappointment due to its lack of substance, I didn’t particularly have high hopes for author Amanda Marrone’s second novel; Revealers. But, I found myself pleasantly surprised.
Though quite a bit of the content could definitely have been omitted, Amanda Marrone successfully spins a story of magic, mystery and conspiracy.
However, I don’t particularly suggest this book. With too much unneeded content for a comfortable read, not to mention the pagan/occul...more

Jules is part of a coven that hunts down vampires and werewolves and kills them. But as her 18th birthday draws near she begins to question some of the traditions her coven has. They are still doing things exactly the same way they were 300 years ago. Then as some of her friends are initiated into the higher circles of the coven more questions arise. Everyone is changing and Jules has to question, maybe they aren't the good guys after all?

What a nice change of pace to have a story begin and end in a single book…
I was immediately drawn to this book because of the cover, I mean really, this cover is gorgeous! I loved the story and the characters were all very well played out. I enjoyed the concept of the book. Especially, since the usual “bad characters” are the paranormals. It was nice to see that even the werewolves and vampires had a happy ending. I feel a little guilty admitting I liked this book because it's pretty fluffy teen fantasy, but I admit it, I liked it. I picked it up because among all the teen vampire novels witches have been a bit absent. It's a totally fun read and I think teen girls will get into it. There's also a good sense of suspense and mystery through most of the book, even if the answer to that mystery is a bit disappointing. My one major complaint is that the ending felt incredibly rushed. And you got a love a book...more
I am not a witch fan. But if you have read any of my previous reveiws, then you would know how im constantly ranting on about my sister. The one who always con me into reading books. She made me read this book (even though withches are against my reading religon). And i will admit, i liked this book. I think because it mixes all the different super-natural elements. Theres witches, ghost, vampires, and warewolves. And its pretty cool, how Jules and her freinds kill them. Its like team Buffy the...more

Wasn't as good as I thought it would be. A witch's coven that makes deals with demons. Add in all the other supernatural beings, such as fairies, werewolves, vampires and shapeshifters and you've got a novel not so original. I wish there was more to the story. The relationships were very rushed and so was the ending. It was all fine and dandy after like three paragraphs. Eh it was a fast read, not one of my favorites, but it wasn't too horrible. I did like the whole ghosts being trapped in a gla...more
Witches are just hocus-pocus, bippity-boppity-boo… right? Wrong. For Jules and her friends Dani, Zahara, Margo, and Sascha, being a witch is a full-time job. They’re part of a coven of Revealer witches that hunt and kill the evil creatures that lurk in the shadows of the night. The clean up crew consists of the only two male coven members, Michael and Connor. When the girls turn eighteen, they are initiated into the inner-circle of the coven, and all the secrets are revealed to them. But will th...more

Amanda Marrone grew up on Long Island where she spent her time reading, drawing, watching insects, and suffering from an over-active imagination. It didn’t help that her father told bloodcurdling stories, and would take Amanda and her siblings for moon lit walks in the graveyard—the highlight of which involved having them march up to mausoleums and knock on the doors—alone. On more than one occasi...more
