The Graves of the Guilty by Ellery Adams (Hope Street Church Mystery, #3)

4 stars

This is a reprint, polished up version of Jennifer Stanley book now published under Ellery Adams name. I did not read the old version but I have enjoyed reading this series the last couple of days. It is a cozy mystery that a bible class gets involved trying to figure out the mystery. There is a lot of discussion of the bible, prayer and relating it to there lives. It is just part of the story not preaching. But n

The Graves Of The Guilty (Hope Street Church Mysteries, Book 3) by Ellery Adams is the third book in this series. It is quite an enjoyable cozy.

In this third book, there is again another murder to solve. This time her sister is accused of the murder and Copper has to prove her innocence. The Bible Study group lends a hand to find the real killer. And when a new man enters Cooper’s life, she has more questions than answers, concerning both the murder and her love life.

The Graves of the Guilty by Ellery Adams is the third book in A Hope Street Church Mysteries. This is a lovely Christian cozy mystery. Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and Cooper Lee has high hopes for this holiday with her boyfriend, Nathan. However, Ashley, Cooper’s high maintenance sister, finds a dead body in the trunk of her car. Miguel, the dead person, worked at Love Motors which implicates Lincoln, Ashley’s husband, and the dealership. When another person is killed, Hector, and his ...more

Graves of the Guilty is the third book in the Hope Street Church series. While you may wish to read the first two books to get all the background information on the characters, it isn’t necessary to do so. I like Christian books, and although this series is well written it doesn’t have a big Christian message. The main character has joined a church, but then again, the first book mentions that she lived with her ex-boyfriend.

I am thoroughly enjoying the likeable characters with a good plot in
While I can't find myself warming to this series as much as the other Ellery Adams books, I think that people who enjoyed the first two books will enjoy this one as well. Do you need to read the first two? I don't think so. This seems to be a good standalone.
In this third book of the series, Cooper, and her family and friends, find themselves at a crossroads. Cooper is torn between two men, one dangerous and new, one comfortable but seeming to move away. Her sister's husband is moving further aw

Murder, drugs, stolen cars, smugglers and Russians. What do these things have in common? They are all parts of The Graves of the Guilty by Ellery Adams. It’s the third book in her Hope Street Church Mysteries series.

This time Cooper and her Bible study group get caught up in a car theft ring and drug smuggling by way of a murder victim found in the trunk Cooper’s sister’s car. How did it get there? Who put it there? An even better question is Who is the murderer?

I love this series. Ellery Adam’

This book continues the story of the Good Hope Bible Study group. The characters have developed and began grab you as they live their lives. The story takes a more violent way. Ashley finds a body in the trunk of her car. Call Cooper who has had a flat tire. Cooper is rescue by Edward who takes her to Ashley home. Cooper starts looking into the murder to help her sister. Trish of the Bible group has cancer. I would read another book in this series.

We return to Hope Street Church with Cooper Lee and her friends from the Bible study group. Another murder in this small town makes for a delightful cozy mystery in this series. This time the Russian Mob and her sister's family are the focus and Cooper has a vested interest to clear her family. This series was written and published in 2010 under a pen name and has been updated and reworked. I love Ellery Adams and look forward to many more of her books.

The working-class protagonist and her down-home family are the focus of this third book in the series, which I received as a review copy.

The same solid writing gives cozy mystery readers what they want: clues, amateur detectives, realistic people, light romance, some humor.

And there are light Christian elements in the story, as always, that bring hope to the people involved and friendship and support when times get tough.

I would really rate this 4.5 stars, but that wasn't an option.

I'd never read a "cozy murder mystery" having to do with a bible study group. It's a unique idea. I really enjoy reading about the friendships in this group.

This is a fairly standard murder mystery. I really wanted to love this series more than I have done. For some reason I seem unable to truly connect with the characters, which is a shame.

This series isn't bad, it just doesn't hold my interest like the others by her. Not much to say about this one. I will keep reading the series, but only because of who the author is.
