(Fiction, Fantasy 1993) This is a small book, quick to read, and delightful. The narrator moves into a flat for a year, and meets James, a large, handsome and surprisingly adept cat. They quickly bond and find themselves able to communicate through expressions and actions. Together, they solve mysteries, disrupt burglaries, and explore life in a totally unrealistic but enjoyable story. There are interesting characters, unusual events, and overall, a fun and quick read.
