I hadn't read one of these Star Force books in quite awhile. Not that I didn't want to, but after reading several of them with Kyle Riggs as the guy who gets into all sorts of trouble, it's a little strange reading about Cody Riggs, his Son doing the same things. And, yes, if didn't know there was a whole series of books with his father's exploits, you'd assume this all started with Cody Riggs. But, it didn't so Cody is fighting the same battles as his Dad.

Still, there is some variety in Cody's

Not bad, but largely unremarkable. A major revelation at the end could have ramifications down the line, but there's no way to know that, or to judge this book based on a tiny scene in the last 3% of the novel. If you've read every Star Force book up to now, there's no reason you wouldn't read and enjoy this. For fans coming in at the Cody Riggs / Star Force: TNG era, this book may be a harder sell, with less time spent aboard ship than in the previous title. For myself, I still plan to read ...more

I loved this story.

I'm a fan of this whole series of stories. From the adventures of Kyle Riggs and now on to his son Cody. I also like some of the continuing characters ,Kwon is just a great steady character. The story lines and be followed. I also have to say that Marvin is more than just a robot. He's quite the character never really sure what he's going to do makes the stories more fun

I can never get enough of reading these books. Larson and his co-writers books are just full of possibilities still leaving you wanting more. From start to finish their great. I ...i can truly say Marvin is a wonderfully thought through character a skill fully making you rout for him and his antics. I'm happy I found them is a great writer and I suggested everybody, whomever, likes spacefaring novels....THIS IS A MUST READ!!!!!

Once again the series takes off and continues to be a great story. I would recommend starting with the first book in the series. I look forward to each installment of the series. I really like Marvin, you just never know what he will do next.

Great read

As I expected from B.V. Larson continuation of characters and a fun read. I enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book in this series. Thanks

The book occupies itself largely with mutiny and incomprehensible aliens. While this is usual B.V. Larson fare, it is much less interesting than seeing interactions with more relatable aliens.
