Paris is full of young lovers and aspiring artists. Nodame and Chiaki happen to be both, but soon they may have to make a choice! It seems that the more time Nodame spends with Chiaki, the more her piano playing hits a sour note. Will Nodame have to choose between music and love?

This review is for the series as a (almost) whole, reviewing after reading books 1-10.

It took me quite some time to really get into this series. Books 2-4 were okay. They kept me entertained and curious enough to keep going, but I don't think it was really until book 5 that I really got invested in the series and Nodame and Shinichi.

I'm not a fan of classical music so some of the lingo and storylines went over my head, but I got the gist of most stuff. Shinichi finds himself stuck with Nodame n

i watch, dorama version :

Nodame - Noda Megumi is a girl who like playing piano since she is a little girl, but weirdy she can't read a music score ?? She play it with Cantabile Style - when she hear another people playing piano, she can remembered it and played it. She is a little like stupid girl who cannot cook and really lazy to clean her apartement where she live.

One day when she meet with Chiaki-sama - the son of a famous pianist who have a dream becoming a famous conductor. But too bad hi
I feel that Chiaki is falling for Nodame just because of her piano's skills...

He finally asks her to go with him to Europe, but she turns him down. She does not want to play piano and achieve "a higher goal" just becaue everyone tell her too. Go Nodame! Why people likes to meddle into other's people's life?

Chiaki goes then to Nodame's hometown after not hearing from her for a while (after the competition's final). And he meets her family, who are as odd as she is.

Poor Nodame! She has a bit of a crisis when she realises her own competitiveness in the competition, and has to re-evaluate her future. I particularly enjoyed this volume as Chiaki started to realise how much he needs/values Nodame's company, and he even goes out of his way to travel to her hometown! Adorable! Also - I LOVE Nodame's family!
Chiaki and Nodame, wuhuhuhuhuh!
