I know I’ve said this before, but I truly mean it every time… this manga series just keeps getting better and better and I’m absolutely hooked!

I’m past the mid-point of this series and I don’t want the journey to end. I am in constant awe of Matsuri Hino’s talent as displayed by her amazing artwork and flawlessly written story. She is truly a talented artist and story teller.

In this installment of Vampire Knight 5 Shizuka Hio, a pure blood vampire, is killed and her murder must be reported to t...more

Hmm... what is Kaname up to?

(view spoiler)[We see a darker side of Kaname in Vampire Knight, Vol. 5, which I'm really enjoying. I'm curious to know his master plan as he allows Zero to take the fall for the murder of Shizuka Hio, and then turns around to save him from the Senate for the crime he just set Zero up for. Why not let Zero be executed if he stands in your way? Curious, indeed.

It's interesting to see Aido have a conscience about witnessing Shizuka's murder. I wonder wha

At the end of the last volume, it was revealed that Shizuka, the vampire who turned Zero, was inhabiting the body of Maria. Shizuka tried to attack Yuki but Zero saved her, at great personal expense. Drinking Shizuka's blood could have kept Zero from going insane as a Level E vampire. But he chose to save Yuki instead.

Kaname kills Shizuka. He is not just motivated by revenge. Combining her pureblood blood with his own makes him a much more powerful vampire. It amazes me how much killing there is...more

This series just keeps getting more and more convoluted and ridiculous the more that I read it. For a few reasons...

The art really isn't all that great. Yeah, they are all pretty in a typical shoujo style, but the artist can't vary from like 2 facial types so it's near impossible to tell who is who without having them state their names every time. It doesn't help that all the male vampires wear practically the same uniform either.

The storyline is every bad vampire cliche rolled into one. The sch...more

I can’t believe I’ve just finished the fifth instalment of this series; it’s going by too fast. ;op

In each book the story is just getting more and more exciting. Kaname now has to go in front of the senate for defending Zero, and not allowing him to be executed. Kaname lets the senate know that he’s looking out for his fellow students and that he seeks to keep peace between humans and vampires. He also wants the senate to stop interfering where Cross Academy is concerned. Let’s hope the Senate l...more

trus Zero sempet nanya ke Yuuki,...more

Just wasn't feeling this volume as much as the last couple. Not nearly as much plot development, though we do learn more about the vampire governing system and the relationships between the vampires of the Night Class. The details are a little sketchy, so I'm hoping that the author fleshes out the vampire politics a little more in coming volumes, as they seem like they will become more and more important in the future. Not a total dud of a volume, but I know the author can do better.

It was the first anime I ever seen and the first manga I ever read.
The history is just fantastic and very interesting, it never got boring. The art in the book is the best part, there are some parts where you spend more time watching every detail of it than actually reading the manga.

Ichiru sodara kembar Zero ternyata benci sama Zero .. makanya mau bersekutu sama Shizuka jadi servant-nya.. T_T

Trus ada juga penyebab Shizuka membunuh keluarga Zero.. buat bales dendam

Biarpun Shizuka Hiou dibunuh Kaname [plus dapet extra power lagi:], tapi Zero yang dianggap bertanggungjawab sampe dikejar2 sama komite pelindung vampir [pure blood:].
Kaname sih step up ya, ngelindungin Zero .. ^.^
Yang lain sih ga tau tapi Aidou [kaya'nya:] tau kalo Kaname pelakunya, makanya jadi aneh gitu kelakuan...more

Maybe 4.5, really. Lovvvvve this series. I'd forgotten how much until I picked this one up and it just flew by. Lovely artwork, interesting story. And Kaname. How can it be bad?

this series is an awesome one! i think that the fact that it has pictures and word bubbles and pictures instead of just writing shows a lot more of the feelings in the emotion that the characters are showing. i am a huge vampire fan and have read other vampire books, like the twilight saga, night world, and vampire kisses(those were great), i think that this is a great vampire series that includes romance mystery worry love hate and much more. it is amazing series and i can't wait to read the ne...more

I watched and loved the Anime version of this. It also landed on my favorites.

For now, I got no plans for buying a copy.

Suspense, action, romance - this series has it all. I enjoyed the further plot developments and am curious about how Kaname feels about Zero, especially after what happens in this volume. Dude!

This series is just incredibly addictive. Another first rate volume. More fast paced melodramatic, vampire romance. Superb.

Beautiful art, mildly angst ridden characters, in high school in Japan, with Vampires taking the night classes.

This series just gets better and better! I do wish Yuki would be a little tougher though...

This was one was good. Got interesting right from the start, especially near the end.

Zero has a very important visitor(s) These few really did a number on his life. Pure-bloods come to visit. I thought it was cute when she gets Zero back for biting her ^_^ some deaths you can't seem to get away from ... will so it seems. The day class students passes out from anemia *wink*wink* On top of all that Zero realizes he has feelings for Yuki but doesn't know what to do with them.
