If you don't mind Hollywood romance stories and are a fan of love/hate relationships, then this is definitely a great book to add to your TBR shelf.

She Went All the Way is the funny and sexy story of Oscar winning screenwriter, Lou Calabrese, and hunky, George Clooney-like actor, Jack Townsend. Things take off at lighting-fast-speed when Lou and Jack are flying via helicopter to shoot the final scene of the blockbuster movie series, Copkiller. (Lou wrote it. Jack is the star). The pi More...

Ceritanya sendiri berlatar belak More...

This was a great book! I have decided to put this in the hallowed Keepers pile because it is the perfect girly indulgance.

The main character is Lou Calabrese - a screenwriter who dated actor Barry Kimmel until he ran off with the co-star of the movie he was working on and married her. Lou is broken hearted and pissed off. Lou has to fly to Alaska to work on the movie she wrote - Copkiller and ends up in a helicopter with Jack More...

I like chic-lit, but quality chic-lit. This book did not fall into the quality category. I did not find the story of a screen-writer and famous movie star, being lost in the Alaskan wilderness because of an attempt to murder one of them, very believable. I did not find the characters interesting and was not surprised when the two ended up together.

Three strikes and I’m out. Jack’s a movie star, Lou’s a screenwriter, they don’t like each other, their SOs just left them and married each other, and now the helicopter circumstances forced them to share has crashlanded in Alaska and someone’s trying to kill them. Will they be able to fight off their attackers AND the growing attraction between them?

Yes to the first, no to the second. And both pretty easily. Good thing they crashed so close to both a ranger station and someone’s hun More...

Hingga akhirnya dia terjebak bersama aktor ganteng jack Townsen More...

I normally like Meg Cabot, but characters here were just a bit too one dimensional and shallow. Situations are totally unbelievable, like getting all hot and heavy in the Alaskan wilderness while waiting to be rescued int he freezing cold wilderness!

I have yet to figure out what I truly think of Ms. Cabot's writing. I often, while reading her work, vacillate between amusement, disgust, enthrallment, and irritation. Saying I like her work might be going too far, but to say I flat-out dislike it also seems too extreme. I guess all I can really say is that, most of the time her books are a pleasant distraction and oftentimes laugh-out-loud funny. For me personally, the humor in She Went All the Way is what sets it apart from most other over-th More...

i thought this story was wonderful. first about the book. lou was so mad about her boyfriend berry because after a long term releationship he didnt want commintment (pretty typical for guys) anyway then there's jack he is a very typical playboy he is a hollywood actor who jumps from bed to bed lets just say they wnat to kill each other thrugh out the beginning so they hate it when they take a helicopter ride for lou's movie and end up bieng chased down by thugs who want jack dead. they ended up More...

I love this book. A lot. It is a great thing to pick up and read when I need to go to sleep 'cause I know it so well that it doesn't make me want to stay awake but enough to hold my interest if I can't go to sleep.
By the same author as the "Princess Diaries," this book is about a screenwriter whose boyfriend left her right after she created a vehicle that shot him to instant stardom. The movie was the "Hindenberg," an obvious reference to Titanic that is pretty hilariou More...

I think I'll just stick to reading the back of the book. It sounded better. It makes you think that it's packed full of action and some suspense. Oh don't let it fool you. There was very little suspense, and the rest seemed like 'fluff'.

When you think the characters will have to face a challenge it's like the 'easy way out' is just handed to them. Like when they are chased and, oh look! An abandoned Ranger's station! And then a little more chasing, and Oh look! An abandoned house! A More...

I read the reviews of this and foolishly thought it couldn't be that bad...well it was. I guess my overall opinion of it is poor because it just so thoroughly disappoints you. I do find Meg Cabot's work, as others of noted, varies widely across the spectrum of good to bad depending on which book you pick up. Historically I have loved some of her sassy teen fiction. I know what I want when I pick up a Meg Cabot book and it is frustrating when it disappoints. This book in particular was just sill More...

She Went All The Way. A rather misleading title... though it makes perfect sense once you've read the entire book, and it's a good read nontheless. Meg Cabot definitely has a gift for giving her readers a happy ending. And, like I almost always do with her books, I kind of wish this book had a sequel (though I'm sure she tires of writing so many).

Lou Calabrese is an Academy Award winning screenwriter. Her most recent movie, Hindenburg (yes, about the blimp), cataputled her medioc More...

I've put off reading this novel for awhile... because of its cover. I know, I know, never judge a book by its cover. But I just didn't really like it. But, I got over it ever since I got into my Meg Cabot phase. It's just... awesome how her teen and adult fiction appeals to readers (and myself). This book seems so.. typical at first. Boy and girl despise one another. Boy and girl go through these hard struggles to learn that they actually have a sexual tension. Boy and girl are going to live hap More...

When screenwriter, Lou Calabrese's, boyfriend of 10-years takes off with an actress he worked with in Lou Calabrese's hit screenplay, and gets married, she is absolutely stunned. Ten years together, and he was never able to commit, but suddenly he's married. If that weren't bad enough, she's forced to sit on a plane with Jack Townsend, the absolute hottest guy in Hollywood, who's ex-girlfriend just happens to be the woman who took off with Lou's man. But, could there be a romance for these two w More...

I was convinced I would really like this book based on the description; it had all the makings for a great story:
1) You have your love/hate relationship which promises for alot of heated sexual tension, not to mention potential for sarcastic witty banter.
2) An appealing plot of overcoming extreme obstacles while being stranded in the wilderness with an extremely hot guy (which brings me to #3)
3) An extremely hot (hard bodied, playboy, action movie star)guy!

Dan cerita More...

Fun, light and a quick read romance. As I mentioned before, I wasn't particularly impressed by the author's usage of ellipses, but it wasn't as bad as that other author infamous for her awkward pauses and bad writing. Also, there was some rambling included and prolonged sentence structures that made me stop and look back in order to decipher what the author had meant.

But that could just be the non-native English speaker in me talking.

I think if I had read this a couple of years ago, I would have liked it more, before I was pretty burned out with Chick Lit. Then again, there wasn't anything really in this book that stood out for me, so I'm not so sure I would have liked it even then. I like Meg Cabot a lot, but a lot of her stuff gets repetitive...which is understandable. What I like about the Boy series was the format. What I liked about the Lizzie series was the narrator. This book just seemed rather drab in comparison More...

This was probably more of a 3.5, but I enjoyed reading it on a bad week when I needed the entertainment, so 4 stars it is.

A light, funny, silly little Alaskan-adventure/romance/thriller (with heavy emphasis on the romance) with a few really implausible plot leaps, some hastily sketched out characters, but a lot of laughs and real writerly heart. I utterly enjoyed the dialogue once the two main characters started to get their act together, although I didn't always find their conversat More...

The last of my beach reads from my Bahamas vacation, and I liked this one too. It was neither ground-breaking, heart-breaking nor astonishing in any way. Nor was any part of the plot surprising (well, ok, I wasn't quite sure how Vicky Lord made the conclusion that she did toward the end (no peeking!), but I'll give Cabot a pass on that, as the rest of the story was fun). For me, Cabot's books are like popcorn - very little in the way of nutritional value, but tasty and hard to stop at just on More...

I didn’t pick up this book for the longest time, and after finally having read it, I can probably say that there was a good reason why I avoided it for the longest time.

I don’t hate the book. Unfortunately, I didn’t like all that much either. It’s another very bland romantic comedy, but unlike the Queen of Babble series (started off bland, but managed to subvert itself), She Went All the Way is really bland. I’m talking oatmeal here. As I was walking along the aisles of my favorite bookstore, looking for the perfect gift to give someone special for her birthday... ahem, my birthday... I saw in bold letters the name Meg Cabot and my heart started to palpitate, already knowing that a favorite author of mine has a book I haven't read yet, that year. And so I bought the book knowing that whatever Meg Cabot wrote about this time, it would be one hell of a good read.
And I wasn't wrong. The book has everything from romance, More...

Jack Townsende is one yummy piece of man. He's one of those action hero movie stars and he knows that he's the sexiest man alive....and Lou Calabrese hates the ever living heck out of him. She hates him because one of her best friends was left heartbroken by the insufferable Jack Townsende. The story starts off with Lou finding out that her man has eloped with Jack's ex girlfriend. Lou's left in the dust, heartbroken but Jack couldn't care less.

So Lou's a screenwriter and she's flying More...

Jack Townsend is the action star of hollywood, the lead of the Copkiller franchise. Lou Calabrese is the writer of the franchise, but they are also one of each others least favorite people in the world. Copkiller IV is now filming in Alaska and both are on site. Now Lou and Jack are stranded in the arctic with only each other and their movie knowledge of wilde More...
