Jack is another gorgeous hero in Annie Seaton's 'Half Moon Bay'(HMB) series. He's laid back and creative and has shared a mutual attraction with Sienna since he met her in the first HMB book. But when he meets up with her again, it's as the man who has stolen her dream. Not a great way to get to know her better.

It seems that whichever way Sienna turns, Jack is moving into her space; first, 'her' gallery, then her home and soon, he's taking over her heart. But Sienna has more sense than her twin

So, so good.

Are you ready for another trip to Half Moon Bay? This is the second book in the series and yes it can be read as a stand alone. Though why would miss out on the first book when it is fantastic.

This is Sienna and the delicious Jack's story. These two met in the first book and through a hint of a date was made, we find out in this book it was never followed through and now we get to see it play out.

Artist and gallery manager Sienna has plans, big plans. She has a job in a successful

When I read romance that is contemporary I want a escape for a minute or two. I want characters that will come off the pages with their personalities and the antidotes of what ever they are doing to bring a smile or chuckle while I am reading. When I open the pages of this novel I am introduced right away to Sienna who is managing a shop she hopes to buy while also getting her artwork ready for a exhibition. She runs to her birthday party where her twin sister and others will be there as well. A ...more

Our friends from Half Moon Bay are back! This is Sienna's and Jack's story.

Sienna is celebrating her 29th birthday with her twin sister Georgie and BFF Ana. A bunch of friends meet to celebrate the event and Sienna is about to make her great announcement, when bad news hit. The art gallery she was hoping to buy is now off the market and the owner is none other than Jack Montgomery! To top this off, Jack has just appeared back in town and ready to move in permanently.

Sienna is an artist. She is a

This book was great! This is the second book in the Half Moon Bay Series and it is just as good if not better then the first book. Sienna is an artist and has always dreamed of having her own gallery. She has put in a bid to buy the gallery and then is surprised to learn that the owner is not selling and that the owner is Jack Montgomery. Jack has also an artist and has decided to move to town and start working on his pieces. He has been planning on asking Sienna out when he gets back to town ...more

This book is the second book in the Half Moon Bay Series but works well as a stand alone. I was over half way through this book before I realized I had met some of these characters before in Tangling with the CEO.

This was a fun read with great characters and a beautifully done ending. I enjoyed the push and pull we see between Sienna and Jack who can't figure out if they should be friends or enemies. While their personalities seem quite different it was fun to watch these opposites attract. We a

Art brings Sienna and Jack together and art may keep them apart. Sienna is managing the art gallery where she works, getting ready for her first art exhibit and waiting for the email saying her offer to buy the gallery is approved. Jack Montgomery the owner of the gallery has decided he is going to leave the family business in New York and come back to Carmel by the Sea to live and work on his art exhibit. He no longer is selling the gallery. Sienna and Jack met several years before and were ...more

"Brushing Off the Boss," by Annie Seaton never got off the ground. There was too much mundane, day-to-day activity mentioned and the dialogue was stilted, often hard to follow. The characters never became interesting enough to light a spark to engage me. As far as I can remember, this is the first time I've ever read a romance novel and not cared whether or not the main characters got together. In fact, when they were apart I thought something interesting might happen. It didn't. There just ...more

In this second installment of Annie Seaton's Half Moon Bay series, we find Jack Montgomery back in town much to the surprise of Sienna Sacchi. The spark and awareness is still there but can Sienna ever really trust Jack??

I really enjoy this group of characters and am so glad to finally have Jack and Sienna's story. Overall the story is very good and one I would definitely recommend.

This is the second book in the half moon bay series. This story is about Sienna and Jack. They most overcome there own demons to be together. Will they realise this before it is too late.

From the moment I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. I must say, I absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend everyone to read this book.

Brushing Off the Boss is the second book in the Half Moon Bay series, but can be read as a stand alone.

I enjoyed the first book, Tangling with the CEO and was happy to revisit the characters in Brushing Off the Boss, while getting to know a few a little more than others. I really enjoyed the dynamics of this story with Sienna and Jack’s constant back and forth with whether or not they should be friends, enemies, or simply co-workers.

Having loved the first book in the Half Moon Bay series, I couldn't wait to return. And whilst Tangling with the CEO had the edge for me, Brushing Off The Boss is a captivating addition.

Two years on and Ana is settled with Blake, Georgie is still on the hunt for her HEA and Sienna is devoting herself to her artwork with plans of buying the gallery she manages. That is until Blake's buddy Jack Montgomery returns and her plans are scuppered as he is the o

After a stressful day, Brushing Off the Boss, was just what the doctor ordered. Annie Seatons' characters took me away from real life and dropped me straight into Half Moon Bay. This book was a fantastic read and my only complaint, was that I wish it never ended. The characters are intriguing, full of life, and will have you wishing they were real. Annie Seaton definitely knows how to deliver a romance novel and I will be counting down the days until her next book.

You just can't help but enjoy yourself when you read a story written like this. This is the story of Sienna who works/runs an art gallery and is also an artist herself. she aspires to own the building she works in. Cue our hero, Jack Montgomery! So Jack has decided NOT to sell AND to move back so he can also work on his art! Cue drama drama drama LOL but in a good way.

Sienna wants nothing more than to own her own gallery and showcase her work. When the opportunity arises to buy the gallery where she works she jumps on it. Just waiting to hear back and approve the sale she plans her first showing.

Brushing Off The Boss is book 2 in the Half Moon Bay series. It can be read as a standalone. Sienna sees all her dreams within her reach. An art gallery for sale. Her first exhibition. And it comes crashing down on her after the owner, Jack, decides not to sell and wants to pursue his own artists dreams. Sienna is a bold beautiful heroine, who seems to get knocked down at every corner. The chemistry between her and Jack is awesome, and not all about just screwing (although there is that ;) ). ...more

I really enjoyed this story. It is a story of Sienna and Jack. Sienna is running an art gallery and is in the process of purchasing it. Jack is a friend of her friends husband. He and Sienna met a few years prior but the spark didn't amount to anything. Jack and Sienna are attracted to each other and then the bomb is dropped that Jack is the owner of the gallery that Sienna was trying to buy and that he is no longer selling it. The two have to compromise and end up living together. This is a ...more

So i thought i was going to enjoy this one...however i'm sad to report i just didn't. THe story was good, the plot okay, but for Jack being a playboy, and Sienna being a take care of herself kinda person it just didn't add up. Then add in there was just a lack of chemistry to me. Yea I got they were sharing hot glances and flirting but that seemed tame...insanely tame for what it should have been.

Other than it was okay and i read it through to the end...which resulted in a 2.5 stars...but I'm j

Annie's writing always draws me in so that I find myself identifying with the characters, their adventures and their romances. Her characters envelop you and make you a part of their lives. Brushing Off the Boss is a fun, flirty new story from Annie Seaton. I loved the heroine, Sienna! She's focused and determined, and I loved how she put herself first. She really held her own with the hero, Jack.

Oh, Jack. He's hot, rich, and an artist. *swoon* I really liked the way Ms. Seaton developed his character throughout the story. I really saw him grow as a person, which can be rare in category romance.

The two have some great push and pull, and the chemistry is there from the beginning.

Brushing Off the Boss was an enjoyable read.

Both Sienna and Jack are likable and very relatable. I enjoyed seeing them butt heads and try to fight their attraction =)

Annie Seaton has given us another romantic sweet read and I highly recommended it.
I'm looking forward to Georgie finding her HEA.

Thank you to Netgalley and to Entangled Bliss for the advance copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

I enjoyed this emotional and surprising journey with Sienna. She thought things were going great and all her dreams were falling into place until the night of her birthday dinner, when Jack came back and ruined them. As Sienna is trying to adjust to all the changes, more personal changes happen, which sends her in a tailspin out of control. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

“Jack must have looked confused, and Sienna leaned closer to him as she explained. Her perfume was sharp and floral, and he took a deep breath, enjoying the fresh fragrance after a day on the road smelling dust and tar.
“When we were in high school, Uncle Renzo brought us down here to the pier at Monterey for a birthday dinner, and he spun Georgie a story about his grandmother going to sleep at the table when he was a little boy, and drowning in her chowder.”
Jack grinned as Sienna continued the story. “He had her sucked in, hook line and sinker, for the whole night until she started to cry, and then he took pity on her.”
Sienna smiled as she looked at Jack. Her long, delicate neck arched gracefully as her head turned slowly from side to side, and Jack got another whiff of her perfume. Her eyes were hooded and Jack sensed she was waiting for something.”
