I accidentally came across this book. I took it up because I have never read anything like this before. I was curious. I found the book insightful. It has true stories of animal attack on Humans. Most of these, I thought, were accidents but to read those was something else. If you are the kind of person who likes to read about animals and related stories then this book is for you. It would be a book you might not get to read that often. I think we need to protect wild animals. They would attack ...more

This book was very entertaining to read because it tells real story's about animal attacks, and the information that it gives could possibly help you in an animal attack. This could only help you in a animal attack because you could avoid what the people did and you could possibly survive. This book has very intriguing story's because it does talk about what when and where each story happened. This book did not always have a lot of detail because it never really went talked about what the anima ...more
When Man Is Prey: True Stories of Animals Attacking Humans edited by Michael Tougias (2007 Tekno Books) (591.65). Bears, boars, dogs, sharks, wolves, and insects: they are all here terrifying us in this thought-provoking volume. My rating: 7/10, finished 2008.
This book is a series of stories about man being attacked by wild animals. Most of the stories are pretty interesting. Most of the the time people make foolish decisions, putting themselves at risk.
This book, in parts, is extremely graphic. I loved it. It's amazing how much documented and undocumented evidence there is when animals attack!
This is a good book. It is very action packed as an animal attack book should be. This is a good read for anyone who is an outdoorsman.
