George Mackey, a Georgia lawman, member of the Georgia Office of Special Investigations (OSI), known as The Hunters, has been suspended, and is awaiting the decision of the state attorney general regarding his prosecution for murder for his vigilante-style killing of a ruthless serial killer—a prosecution that is motivated more by a political desire to embarrass the governor than a desire to serve justice. Arrayed against him and his allies, including the woman he loves, and an old man he thinks ...more

Another excellent read in The Hunters series. In this fourth book of The Hunters Series, Deputy George MacKey (sigh) has problems from the past to deal with while the rest of the team battle against an old foe who has come back to Pickham County to start trouble. I love all of The Hunter Series and the author writes them in such a way that he does not give away too much information about previous books in the series so as not to ruin the story in case a reader has yet to catch up. Mr. Trust has ...more

This was a great read. It started a little slow but ended like the first three--edge of your seat, biting your nails action. It mentions segments from earlier "Hunters" but you can read it in any order. But trust me; If you read it first, you'll want to go back to the beginning. I love the characters. George, Sharon and Fel feel like family to me.

If you haven't read the other books in this series, you should. The author does a great job making readers feel like they have landed in Pickham County where the war is ruthless killings. I have read the other books by this talented author and am impressed with his writing skills and his way of weaving a believable story.Blood Reckoning is one to grab for suspense, murder and mystery

A native of the south, I was born in Columbus, Georgia in 1951, the first of five children.

My father's work as a salesman filled my early years with moves from the banks of the Chattahoochee River in Georgia to Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Petersburg, Virginia and Baltimore, until finally returning to the Atlanta area in 1965. From then on, I remained a Georgian, going to school and growing up in th
