Every once in a while a story comes along that when you finish reading it you go, "What the hell did I just read?" - not in a bad way, but in a 'still-trying-to-process' way.

Take two masters in the genre - Lisa Morton and John R. Little - and you will get such a story; and they called it "By Insanity of Reason".

Non-linear storytelling is hard to pull off. It worked beautifully in the movie Memento, for example. However, if poorly executed, jumping around a timeline can be catastrophic; and truth
