5*
Book 1 Taking Back Sunday had me falling in love with Christy Rey,then in book 2 it completely sealed the deal. She is quick with her wit and charm. This book is action packed from page 1 and had me quickly turning the page . The character development is sharp and spot on. I became so attached to Sunday and honestly thought at one point I would burst from anxiety.
This book is an action packed paranormal. This is a must read. I expect things big things from this autho

You have no idea how excited I was to receive an ARC of Trail of Dead… This gif might sum it up nicely!

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday… it seems like trouble just literally follows you around girl! Trail of Dead returns with Sunday still on the run after leaving Cyrus behind. She’s suddenly drawn toward Salt Lake City and finds a sliver of a normal life there. She’s made friends and began a healthy, non-overheating relationship with a normal guy. But, she should learn from her past dealings, nothing that

Second Incarnate book will be out in September. It is completed top to bottom, and it will take everything to restrain myself from submitting it for publication and distribution until then. But I *will* be patient.

More Sunday. More Cyrus. And some new characters, including the notorious Pastophori of Iset. Cannot wait until you get to read it.

Dark and Suspenseful

If you are not already on board with the Incarnate Series by Cristy Rey then hop on now and ready yourself for a fantastic dark urban fantasy read! Trail of Dead, book #2 in the series, pulses with arcane magic, violence, psychological torment and twisted evil, but it also explores the bonds of friendship, love and self-sacrifice.

After giving Cyrus the slip at the end of the previous novel, Sunday is again on the run, striving to come to terms with her powerful and oftentimes

I love Cyrus in the first book but this book made me love him more. No matter how much Sunday pushed him away and wanted to be on her own he knew. He loved her and wanted to protect her but also give her space. This time her space lead her to a dangerous area one in which magical ley lines were used to muffle her abilities and ensnare her into a dangerous position. the proctors what pieces of work they are. When you first meet Dylan you think ahh so sweet and kind. Loving towards her. nothing ...more

If you’ve read my review of the first book in the series, Taking Back Sunday, or my review of author Cristy Rey’s Weeping Angels then you know that I have a bit of a girl crush on Cristy. If she keeps it up with the beautiful words that make up the intelligent and well-paced prose that she delivers to the masses for our enjoyment; I fear I may become her stalker. With each one of Cristy’s works, I love her more. She truly has a gift for words that make me sink into her books and not co

Oh man do I love this series!! :) Sunday's back on the run, from Cyrus, from the patophori, from herself. But she feels the need to get to Salt Lake City. She's having dreams to rescue a child. Her dreams freak me out. But then when she gets there it's like her powers went away and she's completely normal. She even made a friend and has a hot new boyfriend. She doesn't even remember Cyrus. Except the pastophori are there and they're making her come to them. Sunday doesn't even know what's really ...more

Cristy did and awesome job with this sequel and I can’t wait to read Wolf Parade!

In this book we still have Sunday, Cyrus, Angel, Marcus and Stephen. And Cristy introduces us to some new characters that I hope stay around for the next book! First we have Debbie a woman that owns a hair salon that Sunday becomes friends with, Alex Debbie’s 13 year old son and his friend Dani that is also 13 these characters I would like to see stay for awhile. We so got to meet a wolf pack from Utah and a witch

*I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Well, after binge reading the first book and this one in only two days, I can definitely say that I love this series! It's a whole new twist on the paranormal stories that we're all used to. Sunday is the Incarnate, which basically means that she is an ultra powerful badass. It also means that there are other people constantly after her because of the aforementioned badassery. So basically, being the Incarnate is no

I would like to thank Cristy Rey and Everything Marie Tours for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

When we meet up again with Sunday, it's months since left Cyrus and she still misses him everyday. Sunday starts to have dreams of a little boy she needs to help and protect, for some reason she is drawn to Salt Lake City.

Cyrus himself is a mess, he is magazine but getting worse by the day (lots of hot males here), not to mention Marcus and Angel. Marcus is dete

This is the third book I've read from Cristy Rey and I swear her writing gets better and better. This is the second book to the Incarnate Series and certainly not the last. I finished this book in just one sitting and immediately felt a sense of loss. I was in a serious book hangover and wanted more words to appear on my kindle.

I fell in love with Sunday's personality all over again. That girl is something fierce!! I absolutely adore her and love her badass personality. Cyrus is a force to be r

OK wow. Loved it. The author did an amazing job with this story just like with the first one I couldn't get enough. I do have to say I loved the some what happy ending this time around. It was still left with a mild cliffhanger but I can get over that; see if left me with enough to hold me off, that is until I can read book 3. I'm telling you the author has done a really great job. The writing was wonderful the story was more eye catching and held you into it. There was a lot to take in this ...more

I was fortunate to be able to read this one right after finishing the first book. I loved the first one and was eager to see what happened next. I find the plot real intriguing and smart but hate to admit that I didn't care for what it did to Sunday. But it all made sense and was necessary. It was just difficult to see someone that strong like that. Cristy wove a nice web entangling me in it and solving it in a unique way. This is a great preternatural love story.

Cristy is a great author and has

I am giving this review for author Christy Rey. This is Incarnate Series Book 2 from the author. It is best to read this series in order because where book 1 leaves off book 2 starts.

Sunday has been running for what seems like forever when she finds herself coming to a place that might be the end of her journey. Cyrus is on the verge of loosing himself with out Sunday but he has to find Sunday before she falls into the hand of the Pastophori of Iset.

I really liked the interaction of the characte

We lean that Sunday is linked by blood to the chosen child of the Pastophori of Iset a coven begun by Bernadette who raised Sunny, but who will rise to power under the guidance of Ingrid. Sunny must find and protect the child in her visions or face the consequences of her failure. Lucky for her Cyrus and Angel are willing to help if they can just figure out where to start. A fast paced page turner that keeps you guessing. Sunny is once again forced to confront her magic past and do the right ...more

A book that kept me on the edge of my seat for most of the three day read. If I hadn't had work to do, I would have finished it on the second day it was so captivating. You followed every word, every description; "which was very well pros-ed" and I have recommended this whole series to several friends successfully so far. I am now reading the second one of that series with equal enthusiasm.

Cristy Rey is the author of the urban fantasy Incarnate series. She also writes and publishes unconventional romantic women’s fiction. She’d say she writes the books Jane Austen would have written if Jane had been a riot grrrl. Cristy lives in South Florida where she spends most of her days in a library and most of her nights surrounded by cats.
