James Marsh
This book (now a free ebook available on Amazon!) is a basic history of the LDS Church.

Each section is short, easy to digest and in order o help as a study guide includes an outline of the themes discussed and comprehension questions.

It was written around 1916, so the history only covers the preceding period.
