This is my new favorite bible. I got it online for less than $20 brand new. I love so much about this bible. First and most importantly, I love the translation: New Living Translation. I trust it. This translation is not too "modernized" as a lot of the newer bibles are today (I just can't get with most of them). I love the Christian Ed. lessons that are incorporated from other literature into this bible, I love the "character" profiles, I love the "read your bible in a year" schedule, I love th ...more
This Bible was an absolute delight to have available for devotions throughout my 2008 year. The song devotions were my favorite, so much that I went and bought the individual book The One Year Great Songs of Faith where many of the songs came from. But also the deeper looks on women of the Bible and poetry and other things through out made this Devotional Bible a jewel. I have the Fabric/leather version, and it feels so good in hand.

I really recommend this for any female you know seeking out a
The Bible is what it is. This review is only for this edition. The NLT is the most comfortable translation for me to read. The cover is beautiful. I enjoyed the devotionals. They are short, insightful, non denominational and geared towards women. I chose it for the teal color of the cover and text. It took me a little bit to get used to reading it but my eyes soon adjusted and now I don't even notice.
Nice bible Gift for your favorite woman friend. Has some good devotionals in it. sometimes the turqouise pages are hard to read, but it is campact, a nice bedside drawer reading Bible or a quiet moments Bible. I once bought it for a friend along with a matching torquoise leather prayer journal. Was a Great bargain at one of the Christian bookstore chains for $5.

Recommends it for: all ladies
Of course the power and relevance of the Word never changes... but the fun color of this Bible and the non-cheesy devotions make is extra nice!

I liked this Bible as a devotional Bible. It has some lovely features. It is not my favorite devotional Bible, but it is a very good one.
