Thanks to high school English and Hallmark, 'poetry' often gets a bad rap. Well, New York poet and artist Linda Simone is out to change that with her crackerjack collection, ARCHEOLOGY. Archeology by Linda Simone mines the ancient past for clues about the personal intimacies we live today. Like a good scientist, she finds fragments that illumine subtle interconnections of family as well as contemporary artifacts, such as "the peau de soie" of a mother's cheek, or moments meant to be packed in "mason jars" or "camphor."
