Business executive Katie St. John has given up on love, which she sucks at, to focus on her red-hot career. Older Woman Younger Man Goodness. Katie knows who she is and is content with her life as a single lady lawyer until a hot fling while on vacation results in a serious change of plans. I loved everything about this book, but especially Steve and how he broke the mold to prove that a man doesn't need to be a domineering alpha to be a hero.

How do you handle the world when you never been validated by the ones that should love you the most? Katie St. John, now known as Kathryn to those she works with, was in George Town, Grand Cayman to have a wild week. It was her time to be with any or as many boy toys as she could. You see one year earlier her longtime boyfriend of ten years, dumped her and married a much younger woman.
Kathryn’s already half tattered ego could only take so much so she wrote out a list of sexual fantasies she wo

Okay…I read a book called Jimmy Jo Johnson, Manwhore…so you know I love cliché titles. Older lady, like it. Hot younger man, loving it. Holiday romance turn real life hook up, done!

This book was fast and fun with some serious steam thrown in there for the older lady who learns some very important lessons: namely, younger versus older doesn’t factor in as much as intent and focus. Steve is a pilot who excels at what he loves. And he has loved Katie since he was 8 and she was 16 (I am g

Strong older woman. Determined younger man. And BAM, I was hooked. Loved that Katherine/Katie was a self-sufficient woman who knew who she was, where she was headed and what she wanted. Same for Steve, displaying a determination and a tenacity that more than likely serves him well as an Air Force Pilot. One holiday hook-up where they both let their hair down that makes its way to their real lives and woohoo...complications galore. Throw

He leaned closer to her and turned on the smile again. "Are you saying you don't like pilots? I don't believe it. All women have a thing for pilots."

"You've watched Top Gun too many times. The last time I saw something with wings, I killed it with a flyswatter."

He was pure yumminess….The problem was he wasn't a stranger. She'd watched him grow up….But damn it, part of her was sick to death of being sensible.

This is the first book I have read by Gail Hart. I really liked it. This book was a bit different as Kathryn is older than Sam. The people here stood true to themselves. It took quite some time for everyone to come close to being on the same page. There are a lot of spoilers in this story. Katie has the hardest time so Sam has a big job ahead of him. This was a cute book, serious but cute. Take a chance and read this book. Enjoy! I have this book for an honest review for NetGalley.

This was a fun read about a woman who has given up on love and focuses on her career. She meets an Air Force pilot, who is younger than she is. Turns out she lived next door to him when he was a child. Great romance.

I really liked the idea of this book, the older woman / younger man angle. I even enjoyed the story for the most part. The only issues I had with the book, was that there were times that it felt like the character of Kathryn didn’t stay true to herself. Here she is, with the nickname of Ice Queen, and she’s allowing Steve to kind of (for a lack of an accurate description), boss her around. Not that this is something that happened a lot, but when he was confrontational with her about certain ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this debut novel by Gail Hart. She flipped the roles of the hero and heroine in a unique way. Kathryn is an Ice Queen who needs to let go of her drive to please others and not herself. And her former next door neighbor Steve is the man to do it. Kathryn thinks she can get all of her fantasies and desires taken care of during an island vacation, but when she runs into her former next door neighbor Steve, a handsome, younger man who is an Air Force pilot, her plans to merely ...more

When I saw the title, I expected that the book would be on par with ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ or ‘Gone with the Wind’. The title held so much promise. However, this turned out to be an average romance. There were no ‘confessions,’ and the book is written from the perspective of both the main characters.

After her services as an Air Force JAG ended, the author Gail Hart settled in as a lawyer and manager for the US government; so she is comfortable writing about the professions of Katie and Steve. All

4.5 stars!

I loved the idea behind this book. A older woman meets a younger man on vacation (although they've known each other for years), only their holiday tryst has lasting effects.

Kathryn is a successful business woman with a job as CEO closely in her reach. When she runs into the kid next door turned hot air force pilot on vacation, the two stumble head first into bed together. The problem is that Steve has loved Kathryn since he was a kid, and he's not willing to let their holiday end in

I received a copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

For a book published in 2014, the character descriptions felt very dated - i.e. penny loafers, panty hose? I'm not sure I liked Kathryn/Katie until the very end of the book and Steve definitely was way too nice to her.

Kathryn St. John went to the Grand Caymans to relax and find a boy toy. When she runs into the younger boy next door from when she was growing up, little Stevie does his best to show her he's all grown up. Kathryn a

This was a great story with memorable characters. I loved that this storyline isn't the normal woman gets pregnant and asks the man to marry her. This is a man fighting for the woman he loves and had loved since he was little. Hated when the story ended because you want more of this relationship. How does it work for Katie to stay home? Does her business take off? Does the baby put more stress on Stevie? Is it a boy or is it Stevies princess? Great writing!! Look forward to reading more from ...more

Enjoyable Read!
Katie has given up on love. While on vacations she makes up a secret list of sexual fantasies that she wants to complete before her vacation is over. What she doesn’t expect is running into little Stevie her former next door neighbor but now little Stevie is all grown up. Steve has lusted after Katie since he was a kid and is not going to let Katie go without a fight. This is a great story and kept me reading until the end.

This is a story with an older woman and younger man. It worked well, but I felt some parts were a little silly for me. Her life is turned upside down when her ex turns her in for a younger model and now she has to prove herself to the firm that she has what it takes to lead. She decides for a vacation fling of a younger man in comes the boy from next door. What was supposed to be a fling becomes more when feelings start to form along with a surprise to come in nine months. Can Katie's heart win ...more

Fun and sexy, it's easy to fall in love with these characters!

There's an electric spark, and so sweetly crafted, for these two! I found myself rooting for them from the start.

The author manages to keep the May-December troupe fresh with her characters, and their take on life, oler women, younger men. I especially love that the concern for what people will think isn't overdone. Who of us in lust/love REALLY thinks it through too much when there's a hot body and an amazing person in the mix.

A fun,

I'm not really into the older woman, younger man type stuff but I decided to give this one a try and surprise, surprise, it was a good novel that kept me entertained for an hour. I don't regret giving it a chance, you shouldn't just a book by it's cover. :)

The one thing I need to say though, was the novel seemed uncompleted, hence me only giving it 3 stars. I feel there was certain issues that were too open ended.

This one surprised me. The cover and title are both cheesy, but I really enjoyed the story. And for the record, it is way way way more explicit than I way. I liked Katie and Steve's relationship, although I do think it could have been a little more explained when they came back from vacation. I wanted more explanation of why they were falling in love.

The book is about Steve and Katie. Katie is 40 years old, a successful career woman, who has given up on love after breaking up with her boyfriend. Steve is a pilot in the Air Force, in his early 20s. They were next door neighbors growing up. Steve lusted after Katie as soon as he was old enough to know what lust was. They meet while they were both on vacation in the Cayman Islands. They hook up several times on vacation. When they get home, Katie wants to go back to her work life and just ...more

I loved the scenario of this book. It was a different spin of falling for the girl next door.
In this version Katie, the girl next door, is 10 years Steve’s senior. She has he life planned out for her and it doesn’t include a boyfriend or the souvenir that she brought back from the Cayman islands. Too bad Steve didn’t get this memo. He is determined to make a relationship with the woman he fell

I had never read a cougar book. I thought it was worth a try because I love unexpected pregnancy stories. Unfortunately I got the more creepy vibe than the they belong together vibe. This book was just not for me.

Before becoming a writer, 2013 Golden Heart ® finalist Gail Hart spent a few years as an Air Force JAG, then settled in as a lawyer and manager for the US government.
